Re: How long is too long from sleep study ordered till getting your CPAP??

I'm not sure about the kind of home test, it was a device that I wore on my head and it had a nasal cannula. I had to sleep with it (wasn't easy) and took it back to the dentist the next day. The test and oral device cost me $3000. My insurance did pay some of it but I paid most. That is why I didn'...

Re: How long is too long from sleep study ordered till getting your CPAP??

First off, I already had done a sleep study test at home from my dentist. He fitted me with an oral device that seemed to help at first. Two years later, I had to go to an ENT for another reason. He suggested that I ditch the oral device for a cpap. I asked my GP for a prescription but she would not...

Re: [OT] Happy Pride Day

Would it really have been so hard to just let those of us who are celebrating Pride be happy? You do know that there are Canadians who are celebrating Pride?

Re: How long is too long from sleep study ordered till getting your CPAP??

If you have the prescription, don't even mess with the DME or the doctors. I had a home sleep study by my dentist 2 years ago which I had a copy. I tried to get my doctor to write me a prescription for a cpap and of course, she wanted me to pay $3000 for a lab sleep study. Screw that!! I paid $99 do...

Re: Full face Mask leaks

I have the F&P Simplus as well. I bought it based on the reviews on cpap.com but have been having leak problems as well. I adjust it to where I think it is perfect but it wakes me up later in the night leaking! I am wondering if maybe a nasal mask might be better? I think that i breathe through my m...

Re: First night went really well!!!

Second night went really well with the exception of the mask leaking. I ordered a medium FFM but now realize that it should have been a large. I called cpap.com and they were wonderful. Jenmar, i used to have two huskies! They are the greatest dogs and they both still have a place in my heart! BTW, ...

First night went really well!!!

Hey guys! Just used my CPAP for the first time last night and I was just wondering how normal it is to have a good night the very first time? It did feel a little claustrophobic at first and the resistance to exhaling took me by surprise but I quickly got used to it. I went to sleep pretty quickly a...
