New mask break-in time?
Hi - I've been using the DreamWisp nasal CPAP mask for almost three months now, and while I consistently get good results (.5 - 4 AHI every night and 99-100% Mask Fit) and feel a thousand times better than before, I have never gotten used to the pressure the mask places on the bridge of my nose. I r...

How many masks did it take to find the one?
Hi All - I've had my APAP machine for 10 nights and I'm already feeling a thousand times better. If there are any Lord of the Rings fans out there, I feel like Theoden after the spell was released and he instantly looked 30 years younger. That said, I'm struggling with my DreamWisp Nasal CPAP mask. ...

Re: Nasal mask cutting off air?
Thanks Pugsy I fear that might be the case with me as well. I’m going to try it with a nasal strip to see if that can keep my nostrils open otherwise I’ll be looking for a new mask tomorrow. I do quite like this one compared to the big bulky nasal mask they gave me at the sleep study.

Nasal mask cutting off air?
Hi All, I just received my equipment today and will have my first experience with a home CPAP tonight. So excited to try to get a good nights sleep after years of being sleepy all. the. time. That said, I tried on my new DreamWisp Nasal CPAP mask and the top part that fits against the bridge of my n...

Re: Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Four people (including you) on this thread either outright endorsed or said the Dreamstation was an OK choice, and your exact words were “they’re better than most other brands” so not sure how I blew off yours or others’ advice. In any event thanks and I do appreciate your passion.

Re: Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Once again thanks everyone for the responses and recommendations. In the end I went with the Dreamstation Auto CPAP and the DreamWisp nasal CPAP mask. I’m sure I’ll have many more questions. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-dreamstation-auto-cpap-machine https://www.cpap.com/productpage/dreamwisp...

Re: Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Thanks for the replies and wow wasn’t expecting such strong feelings here on used equipment. Should have mentioned that I’m a little more prone to bacterial infections than the average person which is why I plan to purchase new. I’ve never purchased a new car in my life so I’m normally not adverse t...

Re: OT: Blood Pressure
I've lived with HBP for a few decades, I take my meds and have never had a side effect that I can think of. If I forget to take my meds my blood pressure goes up until I take it again. I have a friend with type II diabetes and he worries about going into a coma if he forgets his meds. That's a level...

Re: Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Thanks Pugsy I don't know the mask just yet I am researching. The main issue for me is that I have been a stomach sleeper for decades not sure if there is anything out there for that. I do sleep with my head to the side but I am on my stomach most of the night. I appreciate the offer of the machine ...

Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Hi All, First post! I've been reading a number of posts trying to catch up and had a few questions. While I have insurance, this whole process has soured on me especially the time it's taken from the first referral for an at home sleep study in March until now. I won't bore you with the details but ...
