Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

So just a follow up on where I'm at going into my 6th day using the Resmed S9, auto setting. just a suggestion, but could you start posting some charts here for the experts to look at? that way they can tell at a glance what might need changing in your therapy. good luck! Would love to, but unsure ...

Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

So just a follow up on where I'm at going into my 6th day using the Resmed S9, auto setting. I've figured out how to get into the "Clinical" part of the machine and was able to set to auto, I can also read my sleep reports. IO've been running 6.8-9.8CM, or the reading indicate that each morning. Thi...

Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

The leak number shown on the LCD screen is what we call a 95% number and 95% numbers just mean it is where you were AT OR BELOW for 95% of the night. It is NOT an overall average and it is NOT where you spent 95% of the night. People often forget or don't know about the "or below" part of the defin...

Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

So last night was my first night trying out the unit. My mask is too small (working on getting the right size now) but it still worked out pretty well I think. Here is how it went. 1. Took me about 45 minutes to fall asleep. My unit is set to auto. 2. For the first time in I do not know how long, I ...

Re: Best full masks for newbie?

So what mask came with the used machine you picked up? What size is it? There are all sorts of full face masks out there. Me personally...if I was a newbie and wanting a full face mask, I would still want for as little silicone needing to touch the skin to be kept sealed. Let's face it...more silic...

Best full masks for newbie?

So got my used resmed S9 set to auto and it seems while I slept with it last night, (about half the night before I took it off) I was running at 11.8. I did sleep hard with the full mask that the used unit came with. That said, the mask seems a little small. If it's up high enough on my nose to prev...

Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

Did you go get the manual? You have to go into the clinical set up menu area and that involves the secret handshake or combination of button pushing to get into that area. Once you change the mode to "auto" then the other menu choices for pressure minimum and maximum will also show up but you can't...

Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

Ok, got it home, has 1400 hours on it. Can't figure out how to set it in auto mode? And also how to set the auto range from 6-20?

Re: Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

Welcome to the forum. Yes, the S9 AutoSet has the auto adjusting mode available so that it will auto adjust the pressures as it senses the need. We do have to help it out by setting an optimal minimum starting point for that auto adjusting. It can't go from 4 to 12 in the blink of an eye. Yes, you ...

Need advise about resumed S9 autoset

I've used a cpap years ago with success, lost the weight about ten years ago and didn't need it anymore. Well, the weight is back and so I desperately need a Cpapa again. Been choking, gasping dying at night for months. I found a barely used resumed S9 with autoset. I need to know if I use the auto ...
