Re: In need of possibly a larger mask?

I recieved the Philips that was from that link and fyi, it came with everything......Med frame and all three sized nostril gels. Looks like there is another seller offering up the same for $10 less now.

Got it all washed and fitted. Hoping for positive results tonight!

Re: In need of possibly a larger mask?

Hard to tell with the item in that link whether or not the whole set is included. It just says "DreamWear Gel Pillows" and no SKU info. I'm sure getting a prescription would involve another trip in to see the "doctor's office staff" as I haven't seen or talked the actual doctor since the first time ...

Re: DME woes

CVS just bought the DME I have been using. Surely that won't be a good thing.

Re: In need of possibly a larger mask?

Pretty crazy to require a script for just a mask....... Thanks for that link. May give that a try, but not sure if a med. head gear would fly. At that price, I could get the large head gear after if it was too small. 7 7/8 hat size if I recall, but I think it's the actually height and deep oval that...

Re: In need of possibly a larger mask?

You think that DMEs or any of the medical care people never make mistakes and are never lazy and always have your best success in mind when they do something?   I worked in the medical field for over 35 years and I can tell you for a fact that none of that is a given. You get good p...

Re: In need of possibly a larger mask?

I had a similar experience with full face masks, and switched to the AirFit P10 with the large pillow. Much better. Every time I get a new mask, I have to stretch out the head strap to fit around my oversized skull, or it feels like I've got an alien facehugger trying to move in through my nose. If...

Re: In need of possibly a larger mask?

I have always maintained that wanting to try something is a good enough reason to try it. Just wanting is enough reason in my book. I have tried dozens of masks over the years...some were big disasters and some were nice winners. We never know until we try. And yes...if something pinches your nose ...

In need of possibly a larger mask?

I'm finally rested well, but wake up either unable to breath through my nose due to the mask pinching my nose or pain in my lower row of teeth. I know my teeth are moving around since I can tell with my bite. From what I have read on the reports I had always used a med mask.......Trust the pros righ...

Re: Choosing a Battery

I did not see that, but it's probably just CYA. No reason a clean DC output cant be used for our application. I wouldn't use a lithium battery in this application for sure.

I ran it 2 nights and will be using it on the road this weekend.

Re: Choosing a Battery

Performing my own experiment tonight in my search for a super compact, safe, overnight moto camping battery option. So far my Dreamstation Bipap Auto SV Advanced appears to draw an average of .5ah bouncing between 5 and 10cm without heat or humidity on. Will be using the shielded 12v cig lighter ada...

Re: New auto-SV user checking in

Welcome to the ASV club. This is a journey and not a cure. There will be up and downs but hang in there and it will get better. My experience with fitting masks is to set the machine to the highest prescribed pressure and then lie down, no pillow, and hold the mask to your face. Gently, adjust, and...

Re: New auto-SV user checking in

the darn bag of mask, hose, and ASV takes up al least 30% of my available lockable storage. The humidifier attachment is optional. So if you don't mind the comfort loss, you can disconnect it and then connect the tubing directly to the air outlet port. Yes, I left the humidifier at home on this tri...

Re: New auto-SV user checking in

Updating the thread with great news.......I'm responding to the ASV well! I took the entire month of June off and spent it in the remote desert catching up on sleep and visiting with my retired friends. Brain power seems to be coming back, depression is almost non existent, and I equate my energy le...

Re: Do asv machines eliminate centrals?

I'm far from and expert only been on therapy for the past 6 weeks...... I was diagnosed with severe complex apnea and perscribed an ASV machine. I have seen an AHI score of .9-2.6 on my machine down from an average of 60 combined without, so it would seem it seems to be doing the job. Haven't felt ...
