Re: About to buy a Resmed ASV out of pocket. Is this the right decision?
Did you ever try just turning EPR off and see what the centrals do? If the bulk of those centrals are SWJ false positives...that high dollar machine is over kill. I tried pretty much every EPR setting possible. Nothing seemed to reduce the centrals. Now I do not know for sure if they are real but I...

About to buy a Resmed ASV out of pocket. Is this the right decision?
After months of trying to get my sleep apnea issues resolved I have given up on the insurance route. I am on the verge of losing my job due to lack of sleep and severe anxiety. I used my APAP for a couple months with no luck and have posted my results on here. Am I making the right call here in buyi...

Re: Sleepyhead results
But it’s very odd to me that I have had nights with a sub 5 ahi of centrals.

Re: Sleepyhead results
Still having zero success. Is there any chance I am just not sleeping well? I am hoping maybe the OSA is causing me to wake up over and over. My results have been worse the last few nights. I am going to try raising the pressure I guess. Very frustrating. Please let me know if anyone has any advice....

Re: Sleepyhead results
UPDATE: My doctor got back to me and he wants me to stick with the fixed pressure I have been using. He said based on my sleep study he is not too concerned with the centrals this early. He is going to take a look at my data here in a couple weeks after some more consistent use at this pressure leve...

Re: Sleepyhead results
I did an at home sleep study. No mask involved. Alice night one I believe it was called. This is just so frustrating to me because my AHI seems to be better with low pressure. I can’t imagine that raising pressure back up will do any good. Do you know what kind of data the doctor looks at from my Re...

Re: Sleepyhead results
Interesting update. I am being told by my doctor and the company that handles compliance that I need to raise my pressure back up in the 5-20 range. I am not sure what to do. According to Sleepy head I do better with the lower pressure. The centrals that occur get worse as the pressure increases. Th...

Re: Sleepyhead results
Do you think its odd that such low pressures seem to clear up my OSA? I have taken it down to as low as 6 and seem to eliminate obstructive events.

Re: Sleepyhead results
Thank you for the reply. I am just surprised that it seems such a low pressure is able to handle my OSA. Makes me wonder when my doctor said my sleep study showed 156 OSA events and around 15 centrals throughout my night.

Re: Sleepyhead results
UPDATE: Once again, I appreciate all of your help. I don't know what I would do without this forum. The last week or so has been interesting. It seems to me that my OSA can be eliminated with pressure as low as 6. I have been trying to get a full night with the mask on but the last two I have taken i...
