Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
Appreciate everyone's help along the way with this journey. Here is another update. I wanted to try bipap and made the switch to an Aircurve S10 VAUTO (and got it for a great deal) because I'm having issues with exhaling against higher pressures and aerophagia. This is a little bit of a learning cur...

Let’s talk bipap and EPR
Help me understand them better and their applications, comparisons, and differences to sleep disordered breathing. I understand that EPR is Resmed’s exhale relief that essentially turns the machine into a bipap with a pressure support limited to 3 and that bipaps can provide a much higher level of p...

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
Doce, you need relief from aerophagia, so I would drop the pressure back down to something that gives you that relief. You can then try inching your minimum and maximum up, .2 at a time, if you see a need for higher pressure. I'd also suggest re-introducing some EPR. Maybe start with 1 to see wheth...

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
What happens when you raise the max pressure setting (which looks like it wants to go up so bad)? And look at the postings (lots) on aerophagia from the forum search bar. Thank you for the response. I've seem to have tried most of the things that returned in the search results. At this point, I don...

Re: UARS / Rem Apnea?
You did a great job providing a detailed analysis of your sleep and keeping a close record of things that might be impacting it. While I don’t have too much info to provide as to what might be causing the issues that you explained, I can greatly relate to this post and have similar data on Oscar wit...

Re: Can you use a CPAP machine to diagnose sleep apnea?
Not a doctor and not providing medical advice. Only a sleep lab will be able to truly diagnose sleep disordered breathing. An experiment I did was set the pressure to a fixed rate of around five and keep an eye on the flow chart and how it looked throughout the night on Oscar. Or set it on auto 5 to...

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
Happy to report that I am now getting more use to the mask and the machine. Maybe even getting the numbers dial better. I am having a couple of issues that I'd like to gain your feedback on. I've bumped up my pressure quite a bit from 7.4 to 11, and likely 12 soon. This seems to be helping reduce my...

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
Hey everyone, This spring I have physical to do lab work for key components that can relate to my symptoms. In the meantime, I started pap again after another visit with the sleep doctor last month. This go around I am doing it differently - using it every night no matter how much more tired it make...

Re: A CRY FOR HELP, Is this only sleep apnea
First, I am not a doctor or medically trained in any way or manner. This is simply my opinion. You have quite a bit of symptoms going on, but honestly, I am really curious to how you will start feeling once you get your PAP settings dialed in and have good sleep for several weeks/months straight. It...

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
Still continuing this journey and have not seen improvement or felt better. Had another sleep study to see if PLMD is the cause of feeling miserable each day but no PLMD was found. At this point I’m questioning again if I should still pursue PAP therapy or back to the drawing board. I feel like afte...

Re: Making progress or should I discontinue APAP? Trying to figure out if apnea is the cause of my daily exhaustion
Thank you for the posts. I am glad to know 2-5 centrals are common and nothing to worry about. I will continue on with PAP therapy and fingers crossed I see some relief after awhile.
