Re: Struggling
So, when I originally posted I was not having great days. Almost as soon as the ink was dry (so to speak) I started feeling better. Murphy’s Law. But as I was on a track, I stayed on it. I came off anti depressants in early December, and now am wondering whether by early January they were finally ou...

Re: Struggling
Ok, so I had a go on APAP mode, two horrible nights, unbelievably dry mouth.. Data for 26 Jan is last night on CPAP mode pressure set at 9. Previously had been 7, increased to 8. Data for 27 & 28 Jan is two nights on APAP min 9 max 20. On 27/1 I woke up from a dream (so in REM) with horrible dry mou...

Re: Struggling
I'll give it a run: - Is there a reason you are on CPAP mode and not Autopap? There is really no right or wrong answer. - May I ask how old you are? - Seem your therapy improved as your pressure was increased. - Your leak rates are acceptable. Many folks search for an "ah-ha" moment in cpap therapy...

Re: Struggling
First thing I'd do is switch over to autoset mode, min 7, max 20 on the pressure, and see what the machine can do to reduce your AHI. My current AHI is less than 1 (see first two charts) the third chart with AHI of 4+ was from September last year (dates on the bottom of the chart) I popped that one...

Re: Struggling
aaaand now I'm getting carried away... thought this would be an interesting comparison though. Started using the CPAP in May last year, a few hiccups to begin with as a week after getting it I was on a 5 weeks overseas trip... made for some interesting times. So, by mid-September I thought I would h...

Re: Struggling
aaaand here is the first night on 9 min pressure... they sure do come through bigger than I thought, but I guess that is easier for my aging eyes - unless it is too big? I can reduce I do believe

Re: Struggling
Okay, so I have carefully followed the (very good I must say) instructions, here's hoping I did a good enough job... This should be the last night I had my minimum pressure at 8, 2 nights ago. I will post last nights shortly to see if there is any difference (I know I need to wait a week or so for g...

Re: what else can I do???
Ok just re-read about not piggy backing on someone else’s thread, so I’m going to make my own. Do you want their help, or help for YOU? Would you like someone else distracting people from helping you? lighten up, francis. she just made her own post!  8) Yeah, it's just the ...

Struggling
9 months into usage, AHIs less than 2 most nights, min pressure 8 ( I have increased to 9 based on the replies to another thread here), still waiting for energy to happen. I make it through a sedentary workday and get home needing a nap before struggling out with the dog for 20 minutes. Any form of ...

Re: what else can I do???
I was about to post the exact same thing, well, nearly. 9 months into usage, AHIs less than 2 most nights, min pressure 8 ( I have increased to 9 based on the replies here), still waiting for energy to happen. I make it through a sedentary workday and get home needing a nap before struggling out wit...

Thought that tag line would get you.... after lugging my new cpap machine all over the world for five weeks ( was diagnosed and got the machine 2 weeks before my big holiday and told I HAD to take it with me...) consequently my stats were all over the place. different temperatures, humidity etc etc,...

Re: CPAP and a cold
Thanks for the advice, the cold is getting better quicker than I thought so shouldn’t be too much of an issue going forwards. Now I just have to try getting back into routine as I have been travelling overseas for 5 weeks and my settings are all over the place, what with different weather, humidity ...

CPAP and a cold
This last few days I have developed a cold, started with a bit of a cough and is developing into a good hack with some phlegm. I am struggling with my machine, as the minute I start coughing I just want to tear it off. Any ideas on how to manage this?
Thanks
