Jenny - try and set up Oscar (see Announcements pg top) so we can see what's what and advise re possible tweaking of pressures, etc... and don't let one bad night (we all have those) be what you assume will be 'normal'.

Last night I had a dreadful nightmare whilst using the CPAP machine - this is very disappointing.

I used the xylimelts last night for the first time, I reduced the CPAP machine's humidity level from 8 to 6, my throat was not dry so I'd say the xylimelts do work & of course that is good!

I suggest you are opening your mouth and the air is drying out your mouth. I don't think humidity, Biotene or lozenges will do any good. Try a good chinstrap. like Ruby Red.

My mouth is always open due to the shape of my jaw - which is apparently what causes my sleep apnea.

What can I do to combat the fact that my CPAP machine makes my throat very dry? I wake up feeling like I haven't drank anything for days. The humidity is up as high as it will go. Mind you last night was different in that water was squirting in to my eye - but usually it's a dry throat.

I've had an electricity bill which is higher than what I think it should be - the bill period coincides with using my CPAP machine & I wonder if this is related.

I've been using mine since 20th March & I'm not used to it yet & I'm still experiencing sleep-related problems & tiredness.
