Re: Mask Prices and any way to dodge them?
Last December I bought a replacement mask for myself and it cost about $15 from Amazon. Looking to replace my wife's mask today and Amazon (and seemingly everywhere) has it for $50+!! WTF happened with mask prices and is there anywhere out there that has them for reasonable prices? Airfit 20 full f...

Re: Mask Prices and any way to dodge them?
Any idea why the prices got stupid? Pandemic/supply chain excuses? The prices have always been stupid. Prices at both Brick & Mortar, and online DMEs have always been high, looks like the it's starting to filter down to the non-traditional/personal sellers. I literally bought one for $15 on Amazon ...

Re: Hose cleaning
I actually described the mask end poorly (though you probably figured it out!). The clear plastic bit is the elbow connector between the mask and the hose, so technically not the hose itself. I went with ordering a replacement. I tried washing out just the connector, but it's a major pain trying to ...

Re: Hose cleaning
When I get the ambition up to give my mask and headgear a full bath I usually clean the hose as well. The hose cleaning consists of putting a couple drops of Dawn dish liquid into hose, filling it with hot water from the tap, and then 'sloshing' the water in the hose back and forth (alternately rai...

Hose cleaning
Apologies for potential redundancy here, but trying to sort out a bit of a two part issue/question. I have been in the camp of not cleaning the hose. However, last night I noticed there are small spots of grime that have built up inside the two ends (the connection to the machine and the connection ...

How many mask liners do you have?
HI all, Didn't see this question through some searches so figured I'd throw it out there. I recently got a padacheek liner to tackle the mask farting issue and it worked like a charm. As a result, I want to get more so I can swap out and wash them. Just curious how many people own to get a sense of ...

Re: does a mask liner ruin the AHI and mask fit readouts?
I seem to be running into the same issue. I just picked up a padacheek liner because my mask would "fart" multiple times over the course of the night and nothing I tried seemed to stop it. Complete silence now with the liner, but the machine always shows me that glaring red frowny face each morning ...

Re: Sudden skin irritation
Thanks for the responses. No, I don't have a history of skin rashes. I may have to give the cheek liners a try, it just seems really crazy that I'd have a problem all of a sudden. I tried calling the medical supply place and they were almost as useless as if they just didn't answer the phone. So I g...

Sudden skin irritation
Hi all, First time poster, long-ish time lurker :) So I'll try to put in a chunk of background to paint an accurate picture of my conundrum. I've used a CPAP for roughly 3 years now. I started with a nose pillow, which I liked quite a lot, but as the strap would stretch out, they would "dislodge" fr...
