Re: How are my flow limits?
I would like to know if my flow limits are normal. I seem to have a lot of them, but I'm not sure if I should worry about them. Not exactly "normal" but not horribly horrible either. As for how worrisome it might be a lot would depend on how you are sleeping and feeling in general. Now here is a ho...

Re: Positional Therapy
I think I am one of the rare cases of a young adult with sleep apnea. Wrong. Many have it. Few get diagnosed and treated. Many of the members here had it in their teens but didn't get it diagnosed until their 50s and later. Much damage to their health by delaying. I`m hoping sleeping on my side can...

Re: Positional Therapy
I got the prescription a little while later and it said I have moderate sleep apnea. Why would the doctor tell me I have mild? Stuff happens. If I really have mild apnea on my back, would side sleeping be able to cure my apnea. No, it would not cure it. But, sleeping on your sides or stomach might ...

Positional Therapy
Hi guys. I am only 22, but I went to the sleep clinic a few months back and my sleep doc told me I had mild sleep apnea. However, in my study I slept on my back to avoid disconnecting the various wires. I got the prescription a little while later and it said I have moderate sleep apnea. Why would th...

Re: Need Help Lowering my AHI
Sometimes the machine will mistake awake breathing irregularities as some sort of apnea event because it only measures air flow and can't know if you are asleep or not. It can happen that we get false positive flags with any of the apnea event categories but especially the central category because ...

Re: Need Help Lowering my AHI
Welcome to the forum. The bulk of your AHI is ClearAirway/Central apnea and not much you can do about those except give it time and hope your wake ups during the night get reduced. I don't know if the Flow Limitation graph is going to tell us much or not but need to see it just in case... If it's v...

Need Help Lowering my AHI
Hi guys. Started CPAP about a week ago. AHI probably around 3 because I woke up a few times in the middle of the night. It has been around this number since I started. I still feel tired upon waking and am tired during the day. Although things have gotten better. Any tips on lowering my AHI and havi...
