Re: New to CPAP- need nasal cushion help
One thing that might help with your Dreamwear is to bobby-pin the strap of the mask to your hair, behind your head; it helped mine stay in place. Another possibility, if you like the design of the Dreamwear, is the ResMed N30i nasal cushion mask. I switched to it from the Dreamwear. I find it stays ...

Re: Do 'open airway apneas' regularly happen to all who've been diagnosed with OSA?
For what it's worth, my sleep study showed zero Open Airway Apneas, but Dreammapper says I have them. My doctor (not my DME) says Dreammapper isn't accurate about those... better by far to get OSCAR for this, as people suggest.

Re: Dreamstation App
My dreamstation App never shows pressure, only AHI and hours. For what it's worth, -- and if this is what you mean -- the Dreammapper app does show pressure on the Usage page (the center tab). Below the bar graph you can see minumum, maximum, and 90% pressure. If you need more info than that see ab...

Re: Economical Ways of Cleaning CPAP Masks
DME employees are very very often talking nonsense... people who've been dealt with them for very long learn to ignore their lies and ignorance. Well, I certainly do agree when it comes to any help or knowledge regarding the use of my masks; they were next to useless as I was starting therapy. It's...

Re: Economical Ways of Cleaning CPAP Masks
Hey, what can I say? It's what the DME guy told me. We use what works for us... I don't think he was holding stock in a detergent company!

Re: Economical Ways of Cleaning CPAP Masks
Last time I got a new mask the DME guy told me that Dawn was too harsh for silicones used in masks like the Dreamwear line and Resmed Airfit N30 line, and can shorten their usable life. He said baby shampoo or a milder dish soap is best, so I've been using Method dish soap to cleanse every other day...

I suspect he means DreamMapper, which only shows AHI, hours, and mask fit.

Re: Dreamstation mask fit
It's not at all hard to do, but you have to go into the clinical mode (as opposed to patient mode). See this video: it's for the Dreamstation APAP but would work with CPAP mode, I think.

Re: How is N30i for active side sleepers
I'm an active (and mostly side) sleeper and it works really well for me, better than the Dreamwear did. It stays in place better. The differences are subtle but significant: the hose sits a bit more forward on my head; the headgear sits a bit lower on the back of my head, and the cushion is much bet...

Re: ResMed N30i User Review
I've been using ResMed N301 it nearly two weeks now, switched from Dreamwear nasal cradle/cushion (not pillow). So far, really love it. Venting seems less or the same as Dreamwear, and more diffuse. Fit (for me) is somehow better; the mask stays in place better than dreamwear and I don't get the lit...

Re: Tips for DME visit?
Also have mild apnea. My DME tries but are very disorganized and not always helpful. Ultimately they do come through but it takes lots of questions and calls. So be a self-advocate. Do some online research. Try as many masks as they'll let you and be sure to try any sizes/interchangeable frames or c...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
I will not be trying the Airfit N30i mask because I need FF, but I am not surprised it fit so well & didn't leak even with a lot of movement. This is why I love the F30. Same thing, better cushion and no leaks. I hope they will! Perhaps this is a toe in the water for ResMed. They seem to have taken...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
Tried the AirFit N30i last night for the first time. Excellent, for first use -- if this continues it'll become my regular mask. Better than Dreamwear, and I didn't expect it to be this good this soon. One problem I have with the otherwise very good Dreamwear is tiny leaks around my nose, just enoug...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
What do you do with the hose if it's on the top of your head? Answered well above! But really, nothing. I have the nasal cradle. I just drape the hose between my pillow and the headboard, and turn the swivel hose connection away from my husband's side of the bed (occasionally he feels it if it's fa...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
I'm getting one on Friday (ostensibly, as my DME isn't always good at coordinating things) and am looking forward to trying it. I also use Dreamwear.
