Re: Recently got AirCurve 11, Can I Combine it with HumidX on my F20 Mask?

I use the AirCurve 10 VAuto and have for years. I also used the even older model the S9 bilevel Auto. Water chamber capacity for both models was the same despite some internet naysayers saying it was different. I have been on cpap for over 15 years now. I have not used the AirCurve 11. If someone w...

Re: Recently got AirCurve 11, Can I Combine it with HumidX on my F20 Mask?

I was told the reservoir is slightly smaller than the older 10 model You were told wrong. The AirCurve 10 and the AirCurve 11 water chambers both hold 380 ml of water. Easily verified by just reading the specs for both models. I have zero experience with the HumidX since I never used it. So no help...

Recently got AirCurve 11, Can I Combine it with HumidX on my F20 Mask?

I watched a YouTube video and the expert on it suggested that for some people the humidifier on the Aircurve/Airsense isn't enough and so there are CPAP users who augment it by using the HumidX with their F20 masks. Even though I know they're designed originally for use with the AirMini. I wanted to...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

I'm trying to watch some YouTube videos. So last night as I stated, I turned the humidifier to 4 and the heated tube to 4. (After a while in bed I realized my mouth was dry, hence I turned both to 4) As I stated I woke-up, and no more water in the chamber. Someone said the heated tube is too high an...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

Are you still using the full face mask in your profile? If so, sometimes people get dry mouth when using a full face mask even with the setting for humidity set to the maximum. It's the mouth breathing that dries out the mouth. Some people just get dry mouth more easily than others for any number o...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

I started using the humidifier for the first time last night. I also have the heated tube. They were both set to 3 as the default and I read somewhere to just start there, after a little while of just laying in bed and in and out of sleep. I could tell I didn’t like either setting. I turned the heat...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

So I tried it for just a few mins. I don’t know if I feel claustrophobic per se. but it felt like I was panting for air. I had a hard time just laying in bed with the mask on. I’m wondering if a mask like the airfit 20 covering my mouth and nose would be better? Anybody with any pointers? Also it fe...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

I'm sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Had some issues with receiving the device/equipment. Anyways, I have the full face mask fit pack with all the sizes. The paper guide shows I should be a small cushion. My nose doesn't extend to the medium, though the width I come close, but again still in the s...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

Snoring that is caused by floppy vibrating airway tissues down below the nasal cavity can be reduce/eliminated with effective cpap pressures. I snore horribly without cpap...no snoring at all with cpap. Hubby is a very happy camper not having my snoring to rattle the windows. Pressures have to be o...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

I'm not sure if anyone has any knowledge, but as an aside, I know I snore terribly loud. Will the CPAP machine help with that at all? Or is it really all about getting the deviated septum fixed? Thank you!

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

my right nostril is nearly 100% covered I would make getting that fixed a high priority. It will make it easier to adapt to and use CPAP. Couldn't agree more. I had a pretty nasty deviated septum when I started CPAP and could not tolerate it. After I had my Septoplasty and T. reduction 100% complia...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

Can you bend your nose to one side and get air through the normally restricted nostril? I had a deviated septum, the only way air would flow through it was to hold the nose to one side. I did have that fixed, and it is sooo much worth the trouble to do that. Should not have waited decades to do tha...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

Like will I be able to share my results here and you all will sort of have an idea how to help? Highly recommended! Many of the members here can give you better advice that most sleep doctors. I don’t want to make any comments which are untrue or whatnot. No need to put that kind of pressure on you...

Re: Planning to buy a CPAP but need some help

Oh...just to be clear...I will help you no matter if you buy my machine or not. My help isn't dependent on your getting my machine. Thank you, but you didn't have to state that. I've lurked on these boards for a few months and have heard about how amazingly helpful you are. I never once assumed you...
