Re: Husband is More Tired with CPAP

Thank you Pugsy Will do that again tonight and send you images tomorrow. No he does not take any medication that could be causing the fatigue. I believe I private message to you exactly the couple of prescription meds he takes, and I don’t think anything that is taken could have an impact. He actual...

Re: Husband is More Tired with CPAP

Hi Pugsy, I didn't see a way to upload the image in the private messaging so I upload it here in the original post. Please let me know how it looks to you. If you could tell me how to upload it in the PM area, I'll know for next time. You mentioned that he was going up and down with apneas, so I'm h...

Re: Husband is More Tired with CPAP

Hi Pugsy, he doesn't remember being up at those times. He mostly sleeps on his back because of back problems.

He had a home sleep study.

Re: Husband is More Tired with CPAP

Hi Pugsy, we made my husband's minimum 9, as suggested. He had a lot of apneas last night - I think he said around 8 of them. Even before this change he was going up and down quite a bit, so I don't know that the change had anything to do with it. He's still feeling tired. Would you mind taking a lo...

Husband is More Tired with CPAP

Hi everyone. My husband has been working on adapting to his Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet. It took quite a while to get a mask he's good with, as he has facial hair, but he's found one that's not leaking and that he's comfortable with. He sleeps okay waking up once or twice, but he feels much more tire...

Re: AirCurve 10 VAuto Bipap settings help needed

With the minimum EPAP of 5 with a PS of 3, am I right to think that it would still allow me to put in a starting EPAP of 4 which would mean a starting IPAP of 7? If so, if you think that would be better than trying to change the PS I can give that a go tonight. Also you said: "But, you can try incre...

Re: AirCurve 10 VAuto Bipap settings help needed

Thanks Palerider. So in the meantime I was thinking of raising the PS ever so slightly tonight to see if it helps with the grinding, and to see if I can tolerate the higher starting IPAP that comes with that. As a reminder, I was not grinding when PS was at 4 but felt that hyperventilation sensation...

Re: AirCurve 10 VAuto Bipap settings help needed

Hi Palerider and Pugsy. Second night at a PS of 3, and my teeth hurt. However I felt comfortable enough with the IPAP and was able to fall asleep and I was comfortable enough to put the mask back on and fall asleep again when I woke up to go to the bathroom (I do that frequently). I did not feel lik...

Re: AirCurve 10 VAuto Bipap settings help needed

Hi Pugsy, I changed my PS from 4 to 3, and I do feel like it helped. I was able to keep it on all night. I do feel like I was grinding my teeth as they're a little sore this morning, but it was much less than with the auto-Cpap I had before. With the PS at 4 I did not seem to grind at all, but if th...

Re: AirCurve 10 VAuto Bipap settings help needed

I do get what you're saying and I'm sure you're right, but the 5-6 times I've used bipap I had no teeth pain. Every single night I used the cpap for months I had major teeth pain, like when you first get braces on (I had them when I was a kid so I'm familiar with that feeling). So I'm hopeful that t...
