Re: humidity off & empty water chamber ok?
I dunno why I get so much rainout, it's supposed to be dry here. You can't control the moisture in your own breath. It's just going to happen. You can control the ambient room air temp or the hose air temp both of which need to be warmer so the air doesn't cool and release the moisture...it'...

Re: humidity off & empty water chamber ok?
You can use the side cover that can be used in place of the water chamber if you wish. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-airsense-airstart-aircurve-10-side-cover I hadn't seen that particular cover, I like it! More compact for travel, too. Be aware that you can still get condensation in the m...

humidity off & empty water chamber ok?
I get a lot of rainout, even with Humidity set to 1 (I use the Bleep) and a hose cozy. Regular hose, not heated. I'm tired of waking up to a snootful of water, so last night I tried the machine (Aircurve VAuto) with Humidity off and an empty water chamber--good timing 'cause I'd just washed it. It w...

Re: Aerophagia No More!
For what it’s worth, I did have aerophagia last night, but no residual heartburn so far. I’m hoping the turmeric helps with the discomfort part of aerophagia, and might work on an as-needed basis. I probably get aerophagia differently to you (I get the girl-aerophagia, you get the boy-aerophagia 😁)....

Re: Aerophagia No More!
Hi Zonker, I've been keeping an eye on this thread because I really struggle with aerophagia, and haven't been able to increase my IPAP by even 0.2 after a few months at the very low settings that finally gave me a little relief (EPAP 3.2, IPAP 7.0). After another discouraging try, I figured, WTH, a...

Re: I finally found something to keep my mouth shut
I just use the one looped over my head and under my chin. That makes it sound like you are using a Scunci as a chinstrap. That seems to be different from what Zonker does??? Good point, i misstated that—the scunci sits on the front of my chin covering my mouth and cheeks so I don’t get chipmunk che...

Re: I finally found something to keep my mouth shut
I’ve used my Dr. Dakota for about a year, along with the scunci headband and a little tape. My husband likes to make fun of the “sleep well my friend” stitched under my chin. I have a prominent occipital bone, which makes the regular cervical collars uncomfortable for me. I had to shorten th...

Re: I finally found something to keep my mouth shut
Mmmmm... I'm not seeing a 3x difference in price from the brief shopping I just did on Amazon. About 50% or so more, which is excessive still for what you get in comparison, I agree. But the full collar will add more bulk and your point about heat retention is a good one so it boils down to comfort...

Re: Tweety: Tweaking Aircurve VAuto settings for aerophagia
I think maybe stick with S mode for a little while so you can use 3 cm EPAP....use 6 or 7 IPAP...both do a good job in terms of OSA prevention. If 7 IPAP feels better in terms of comfort and you can still keep the aerophagia monster away with it...do it. As it stands right now there's no urgent nee...

Re: Tweety: Tweaking Aircurve VAuto settings for aerophagia
.2 at a time helped me greatly. I too can feel the difference in the small increments. The Ymmv sticker belongs on that one. Maybe because I am not one who can open my mouth and talk without all the air rushing out. I don't have that cool switch internal switch like some of you. The aerophagia mons...

Sorry, I meant to say if you don’t have a USB-C port but have an older-style USB port (1.0, 2.0, 3.0), the adapter above will workTweety wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 2:06 pm
If your computer, keyboard, or printer has a USB port, this adapter would work: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Portable-R ... 006T9B6R2/

why didn't you just activate the zonker signal? zonker-signal.jpg The signal goes on and he shows up. Re: Apple users: What do I look for as I buy a new MacBook to use with Oscar software?
Hi all, Okay, you've convinced me to buy a computer that will allow me to use Oscar!😁. My current Tablet won't do the job. My Mac desktop finally died, and I'm leaning toward going with MacBook or MacAir. What do I need to look for on a new Mac as far as using Oscar with it. For you Mac users . . ....
