Re: How to breathe against constant pressure
Eh. It is on mine. The lock symbol is on. I don't know why the nurse/salesperson locked it in as she gave me a choice of what level I wanted flex at. Had to give herself something to do when she came to my house I suppose. But I'm very very happy with flex at level 3. It gives a very natural breathi...

To OP. Please let us know how you solved the problem? Did you change the flex setting to 3 or is yours locked? Best of luck.

Re: How to breathe against constant pressure
Thank you for that Chicago Granny. That's just my humble opinion obviously. The OP, like me, doesn't like the pressure. Sure isn't anything worth a try!!

Re: How to breathe against constant pressure
Hi. I have same machine as you. I have my expiratory settings (flex) up to the max and there is no pressure whatsoever. Machine kinda breathes with me. It works with me even when I breathe irregularly. So your problem is the settings.

Oh yes. And the sales people (one for Sefam and one for Phillips Respironics) both told me to use smaller masks. They measured my nose and declared me a medium. But its the bigger mask I like. Its all v different when you lie down and the mask is skewing sideways isn't it?!

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:
Hi Wordbabe. I'm new here (today) and new to cpap (2 weeks). Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know. I started with a Sefam machine and I had exactly the problem you describe. I woke up several times a night to a hurricane blowing about my nose. I changed machine to a respironics o...

Re: Water runs out
Hi. I'm new here. Just got my first cpap 2 weeks ago. I changed to a PR Dream station a week ago. I've tried the humidifier at various levels all week. I didn't change the water and didn't top it up all week. There's still water in there. I thought I had a problem because it wasn't using water. Im g...
