Re: F&P sleepstyle, no mask type options. and best mask
Nasal pillows have been successfully used with pressures greater than 20 cm. H2O. The key is to get used to it. Thinking that nasal pillows can only be used at low pressures is a common misconception. It is completely WRONG! Thank you for your reply The variable here is “The SNOZ”. How the snoz han...

F&P sleepstyle, no mask type options. and best mask
Hi All, Just noticed the sleepstyle doesnt offer an option to choose full face, nasal, nasal pillows etc. Im about to move from a BMC full face to a BMC P2 pillow mask, after trialling every other mask out there. The main issue for me being that most masks tend to block my nasal passages. The BMC F5...

Re: My ahi's have been creeping up
What I see in the chart is a minimum that is letting some snoring and some flow limitations occur. Then the pressure goes up, you breathing gets better, the pressure drops - and, sure enough, you have flow limitation and snoring again. Did you always have that? If not, I'd start looking for slightl...

Re: My ahi's have been creeping up
How's your sleep quality? A sizable chunk of those flagged events appear to be SWJ or sleep/wake/junk to my eye. Hi Pugsy you and I had a conversation recently about our “pain and suffering “ 😊 as a consequence of aging bodies specifically, back , hip and shoulders. My quality of sleep is very impa...

My ahi's have been creeping up
Hi All,
Just wondering if someone could have a quick squiz at my results of late
and tell me what could be causing my ahi's to be creeping up.
Thank you

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
I didn’t try the Large only the medium. Did you find the medium size partially blocked airflow through your nose ? I’m guessing it probably did which would be why you chose large . Why do you not use the f30i now. The pad a cheek would probably send my partner into a terrified catatonic state. The ...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
Its really hard to find a full face mask that I can be happy with consistently. the smaller full face masks like the f30i tend to block my nose once the head gear is tightened. Is the F20 the only one you use? The nasal masks were fine for me for a while but i became a mouth breather after a while ...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
Do you have to replace the strip every day ? You don't need to change the strip every day, only when it's necessary or if you want to. Please let me know how the drilling goes? what size holes will you drill? how many ? I drilled holes in Sara's mask, it didn't work. The air coming out through thes...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
Definitely not enough oxygen once that filter/noise abatement fluff blocks . How long did it take for the elbow to get blocked? Did you ever wash it? Most of us don't follow cleaning instructions religiously, but when ResMed says: https://document.resmed.com/documents/products/mask/airfit-f30/user-...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
For an experiment, I drilled holes in my old and unnecessary Cara mask. I didn't like it because the air passing through these holes makes too much noise for me. So I won't be drilling holes in my beloved AirTouch F20 mask. As soon as I spent one night with a closed exhalation (the one on the right...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
Marcus: Where did you drill the holes--through the --plastic? Did you drill them at the bottom (over the lip)? or all around the opening? How many holes? 1/8" or 1/16" perhaps?-can you find out so we can calculate the area? What about the leak rate according to Oscar--did it go up. This is an inter...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
Yes no problem The leak rate according to the AS10 was 7 litres per minute. I ended up putting the noise filter back as it was too noisy without it. I tried with the 3 small holes drilled either side of the bridge of the nose but that also was too noisy . Now the interesting part is that the noise f...

Re: Airtouch/Airfit F20 relief holes
The dirty noise diffuser/filter definitely restricts the air as it was hugely more comfortable without the diffuser but noisy of course. I’ve reinstalled the diffuser and will try tonight with 3 small holes either side of the disposable airtouch . AHI’s improved also without the noise diffuser for s...
