Re: New AirMini - Problems
Try putting the device next to a wet wash cloth so the air intake grabs that moistened air? I bought the Resmed AirMini 3 years ago, and I must use the HumidX Plus cartridges when I travel. However, after a week of use I still get serious sinus dryness and pain. I also use the nasal gel (Rhinaris o...

Re: Can CPAP cause tongue sores?
Thanks everyone for your answers and advice. I have determined the cause of the mouth sores and you'll all be relieved to know that it's not the CPAP machine. I needed to eliminate the CPAP machine to figure out the cause. I also have a medical appointment to find out more and find out what can be d...

Re: Can CPAP cause tongue sores?
I have been using a Resmed Airsense 10 with the Dreamwear Nasal CPAP mask and headgear, without nasal pillows. It works well and all has been going fine except I have been waking up at least once a month with very painful canker sores on my left side of the tongue or just a sore left side of the to...

Re: Can CPAP cause tongue sores?
Thank you ChicagoGranny. I think you are right...I need to use a better dental paste. After more research into tongue sores, I also agree with Pugsy that it can't be due to the CPAP equipment or the machine. It must be something else. I'll post something after I see the oral specialist. But in the m...

Re: Can CPAP cause tongue sores?
Ok...ok....ok and ok, thanks Pugsy. I am going to see an oral specialist and if I find out it's CPAP related, I'll post it for others.

Re: Can CPAP cause tongue sores?
Ok, so it's not suction...is there another way that CPAP can cause tongue sores? Like positive pressure that causes one to bite on the tongue? Or pressure on the jaw that is so tight that the tongue is pinched between the upper and lower jaw? Also, what about in the open airway situation: where air ...

Re: The air filters do work!
That's a great example of the use of the filters. I once brought my CPAP machine to an old hotel in Québec city, Québec, Canada. I of course brought my CPAP machine to get a good night's sleep...then in the morning when I removed the CPAP mask....Whoah! The pungent stench of old, ancient carcinogeni...

Re: CPAP water tank hacks
Okay...then from the comments I've received (mostly negative), CPAPTalk is not the appropriate place to share SoClean/CPAP water tank hacks.

CPAP water tank hacks
I was just wondering if CPAPtalk.com is an appropriate site to post a CPAP water tank hack that was done. The hack was on an Airsense 10 water tank to make it compatible with a SoClean travel sanitizer.

Re: Soap taste
I usually clean my dreamwear nasal mask piece, after washing my hands, over the bathroom sink each morning after my shower. I rub handsoap on the nasal mask, crevices and all, then rinse it with water and let it dry all day on a towel. I don't notice a taste because it doesn't come into contact wit...

Re: Reminder Alarm Available?
Hey D.H. Yes its a GOOD feature which should be an option for people who suffer from SEVERE Apnea. I remember one time waking up in the middle of the night, inadvertently pulled the mask off, then a short time later could hardly catch my breath. (it was pretty scary). We really don't know what is "...
