Re: I have hoarded old CPAP stuff!

I would offer them for free on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist or a local sales group. I think there are plenty of people who can't afford a machine and would be thrilled to have any working machine at all. I offered a friend's old machine up for free and got many replies. I would offer all the s...

Do I need to transfer Dreamstation 2?

Do I need to transfer ownership of my Dreamstation 2 that I received as replacement for my recalled machine? If so, how would I do that? Philips claimed that they never received my Rx, so they sent the replacement Auto CPAP set to auto settings. I have someone interested in buying it but their sleep...

Re: Prices of supplies sky high!

If you're not using insurance, you can often find individual parts at Ebay or Amazon for a good price.

You can also get 25% off at cpap.com with code SLEEPERBOWLXXIII. If you sign up for their emails you'll get discount codes sent to you frequently.

Re: Purchase a new CPAP?

If you sign up for emails from our sponsor (cpap dot com), you will get a discount code that will bring a new Resmed Airsense Autoset 10 card to cloud version down to $500. It as good as the 11 but it does lack a modem. That probably won't matter to you since you plan to pay out of pocket rather tha...

Re: Nasal pillow mask similar to Pilario Q?

Thanks for the reply, Pugsy. I have seen pics of the Evora but these are the masks I am most tempted to try: AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask and Frame by ResMed What is the difference between this and the For Her version? Is it just the color or is the strap shorter on the For Her version? Brevida...

Re: Nasal pillow mask similar to Pilario Q?

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know if the Brevida's straps are elastic and if there's a quick release from the CPAP machine hose?

Nasal pillow mask similar to Pilario Q?

I have been using the Pilario Q for many years and I'm wondering if there might be something similar worth trying. I would love to find another elastic strap (ideally single) mask. I have a pretty large head. Any suggestions? I tried the Nuance Pro and the pillows were ok, but I had 3 problems with ...

Re: Alternative to Ruby Red Chin Strap by CareFusion

My husband has been using the Large (not adjustable) Ruby Red chin strap for years but it is no longer made. I see other red chin straps but Hi 1. It appears Carefusion appears to have been acquired by BD. https://www.bd.com/en-us/company/news-and-media/press-releases/mar-17--2015-becton-dickinson-...

Re: Alternative to Ruby Red Chin Strap by CareFusion

Most, if not all, of those links are misleading. You click on them (and may have to click on another link or go through the ordering process) to see that the picture shows that they are the adjustable kind (dark velcro thing on top), do not have the size large, are made by a different manufacturer, ...

Alternative to Ruby Red Chin Strap by CareFusion

My husband has been using the Large (not adjustable) Ruby Red chin strap for years but it is no longer made. I see other red chin straps but most are adjustable and I am not familiar with the brands. Is there an alternative brand that is as tight fitting as this one? He does not want an adjustable o...

Re: Best mask/headgear for fine hair?

I just discovered the Swift FX with Bella Loops. Does anyone have any experience with this? I wonder if it needs to be tight to not move around and how that feels behind the I actually used the Bella Loops for quite a while when they first came out. We've got a lengthy review thread here somewhere....

Re: New user, is machine insurance worth it?

I don't know what the average is but CPAP machines tend to live longer than most people would want to use them. New machines with better features come out and people who are aware of that tend to want to switch to those. I had my first CPAP machine for 10 years. It still ran but it got noisy (not so...

Re: New user, is machine insurance worth it?

I would skip the insurance. Medicare should take care of you if the machine breaks after its initial (2 year?) warranty period. As far as I can tell, most machines last many years beyond their warranty. Also, you can pick up a lightly-used machine for a lot less than retail price. I just got a light...
