Re: Very Grateful for my new ResMed ASV
Ok I meant an ASV versus a non ASV machine.

Discouraged by CAs induced by CPAP
I have been on CPAP for almost two months now with a Resmed Autoset 10 and a F30 mask. Initially my doctor recommended that I start with pressure range of 5 - 8 and EPR setting of 2. This seemed to help me feel better but I was still waking up in the middle of the night probably during REM sleep and...

Re: Very Grateful for my new ResMed ASV
Out of curiosity what was the deciding factor for you to get a prescription for an ASV in the first place versus a bipap or apap?

Forgot to put water in humidifier and got my skin slightly burnt
Now I have red marks on my skin where the straps of my mask are, probably from the dried air flow. Is that common? I did not realize the humidifier is also important for the skin.

Setting CPAP in neutral to evaluate untreated apnea?
Is it possible to set your CPAP such that it only measures your apneas without treating it? Basically to do the equivalent of a sleep study to see the delta between treatment and no treatment?

Re: F30 mask users - where are your leaks?
If I get leaks they tend to be near the top toward my eyes. Recently I have been using a CPAP moisturizing cream on my skin and that seems to prevent the leaks.

I really like the Contour CPAPMax Pillow 2.0
I got this pillow (Contour CPAPMax Pillow 2.0) soon after I started my CPAP therapy because I could not stand the way a normal pillow would mess with my mask when side sleeping. I have been pretty happy so far and I aslo like the included strap to help manage the hose. I use it with a F30 full face ...

Re: Weird leaking issue with F30 elbow valve after washing
The flaps looked fine. Yesterday I looked at them carefully and used a q-tip to force them to close and noticed a bit of resistance that went away once I made them close a few times. After that they no longer leaked that night. Maybe the water stiffen them some and by forcing them to close a few tim...

Weird leaking issue with F30 elbow valve after washing
I have been using the F30 full face mask and one time I ended wetting the elbow part that has the diffuser and valves while washing the mask. The valve started leaking like crazy even after it was fully dried. I thought I had ruined the valve but after a few days it started working again and the lea...

Tip on first follow up appointment after starting CPAP
Next week will be my first follow up apt since starting CPAP over a month ago. I have been using sleepyhead with as card to see exactly what is going on each night. My AHI has been under 5 and I do feel better but I am still waking up like I used to in the middle of the night. The difference now is ...

That is interesting what were your pressure settings before and after?
I recently woke up around 3:00 am and was never able to fall back asleep but kept the mask on and CPAP on. The time after 3:00 was full of centrals which tells me that they must be happening when I am awake.

Thank you all for your advises on this. For what it is worth, when I load my SD card data in ResScan 6 from ResMed, those events are called Centrals, not Clear Airways.

I am not taking any medication. I may be awake during some of those but I am not 100% sure. I need to find a better way to track when exactly I am awaken to be able to correlate it.

Started CPAP with AirSense 10 AutoSet. SleepyHead showing a lot of clear airway apneas. Is this normal?
I have been having really bad sleep for years and finally I did a sleep study where my AHI was 9 with no central apneas detected. I started CPAP with an AirSense 10 AutoSet. I got an SD card and have been downloading the data every day into SleepyHead for almost a month now without modifying anythin...
