Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

What is the model number on the new machine you just received? If you did get the AutoAdvanced model that is the ASV model and it is NOT the same kind of machine as your old machine if what you were using was a regular Auto/APAP/CPAP machine. It is a DSX520H11C, a "DreamStation 2 Auto CPAP Advanced...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I received a text message yesterday from FedEx about a package delivery. I had no idea what was being delivered. A Dreamstation 2 Auto Advanced was delivered today to replace my Dreamstation Auto. I had received no prior notification from Philips, the DME who sold me the machine, or my doctor. The i...

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Be aware that no amount of increasing the pressure is going to reduce any awake flagged events...those aren't real...the airway isn't really closed off despite the machine telling you it is. If you know you were awake you have to mentally remove those events from your evaluation of pressure needs. ...

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Hi, I'm back with some more data (two nights) at the new pressure setting of 11.5 (up from 10.5). I'm thinking of going to 12.5 as the clusters of events seem to occur when I am awake or in REM. For example, using the Pillow and SnoreLab apps, on Feb 26 I rolled over at 2:34:23 am and coughed at 2:3...

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Were you awake very much last night? I see at least one break in therapy so I know of at least one. The 00:45 cluster....do you think you might have been awake then? Try 11.5 cm pressure tonight. I often flop back and forth side-to-side during the night, and I remember doing so but not when. If I a...

Re: Has this ever happened to anyone, and what to do if it has

Doesn't the DreamStation have a minimum runtime to consider a session valid? I've been using the Check Mask Fit feature (with the head gear off) to dry the hose, but I bet there is a better way. chunkyfrog has a good point. I should clean the hose less often. :D

Cheers

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Yup, I turned on EZstart thinking it would start the ramp feature automatically instead of hitting the button when the CPAP started operating. /fail So, here is Friday night's results, with EZstart and CFLEX both off. Better, but I seem to be stuck in the tens range. Thank you! SH 2-22-2019.png

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Holy crap. That's a big difference from a small change and definitely in the wrong direction. I assume that you feel like you slept fairly solidly at least for the bulk of the night???? Some questions... What position do you normal sleep in...especially last night. Do you take any medications of an...

Re: New Addition to the Forum

I manually hit the ramp button just to make it easier to fall asleep; however, I think that I've been doing this long enough that I won't have problem falling asleep. At this point, I'm willing to try anything! Thank you! EDIT: Oh, you mean Respironics Flex (C-Flex+). I'll turn that off as well! :)

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Hello again, I'm not doing as well as I had hoped and am back seeking more advice. Specifically, what pressure should I manually set my CPAP machine to? To continue the story above, I've switched to a nasal pillow (+cervical brace) from a full face mask and that has helped reduce leaks as roll over ...

Re: New Addition to the Forum

Hi Again,

Hopefully this SH grab is formatted correctly. Any thoughts on how I should proceed? I was thinking of upping the minimum pressure. Any thoughts?

Thank you!
