Re: Still tired despite low AHI. Looking for suggestions.

Can you provide some details on your sleeping environment? I keep the bedroom cool, no heater at night. I have one blanket initially and have a second I can pull up if it gets cold. I don't think this is the problem though. The issue would have to coincide with my breathing difficulties in the zoom...

Chris, are you a bit older female? If so night sweats are common, and can be relieved.
Nope, 40yo male

It sounds like you are having night sweats. They can be quite disturbing to a person's sleep. That could easily explain your tiredness.
I was thinking of the night sweats as a symptom rather than a cause. You think the sweating itself might be a cause of the fatigue?

There are many causes for fatigue besides sleep apnea. I'm fighting this myself despite low AHI. I think mine is gut related.
I think my issues are still sleep related because my fatigue is worse on the nights I have more awakenings.

Re: Still tired despite low AHI. Looking for suggestions.

Hi Chris, you have a somewhat active flow limitation graph, and I recommend that you increase your EPR from 1 to 3. Ordinarily you'd also want to raise your minimum, but your AHI is so low I don't think that's a problem. Keep us posted, would you? Thank you for the suggestion. I increased my EPR to...

Still tired despite low AHI. Looking for suggestions.

Hi all, I have been on CPAP several years. Despite AHI < 1, I still often wake up sweating during the night (sometimes the sheets are so wet I have to move to a different spot on the bed). Other times I wake up gagging. I often start the day feeling tired. I would really love any suggestions on how ...

I do worry about the toxicity though
If you are really worried about it, why not use something like Nexcare Sensitive Skin Tape?
I've tried medical tapes and they either don't hold as well and leak, or are impossible to take off. And also a lot more expensive.

Toxicity of 3M painter's tape

Thanks to the advice of the good people on this board, I am now using 3M painters tape for my mouth. I find it much more comfortable and effective than a chin strap (and I tried many chin straps). And it's easy to remove. I do worry about the toxicity though, since I'm wearing a 2" strip across my m...

Tips to help with Daily Cleaning routine

Hi all, So I rinse my nasal pillows and water chamber every day. But it's such a pain, especially when I'm short for time in the mornings. Do people have any tips for making life easier with their daily cleaning? (I've gone off the idea of the ozone based cleaning machines, and it seems like UV clea...
