New Airsense 11
I’ve had my new Airsense 11 for about a week now, no real issues to report. First thing I did after two nights was figure out how to adjust the pressure. At its max, it was blowing me up like a balloon, with no way to get the mask tight enough to stop leaks, so I lowered the pressure by one. Might l...

White noise is an option, I’ve also used earplugs, and sometimes sleep very well with earplugs.

My AirMini story so far
First night, I couldn’t get past ramp up, for the noise. Moved my hose back to my AirSense 10. Next day, ordered a muffler. Lovely 3D printed plastic that won’t ever shed microplastics into my lungs, right? It didn’t help much, but I made it through the night. The humidity sponge thing didn’t do muc...

Here’s a comparison that favors the Resmed for quietness and ability to report data.

Re: Travel machines
I finally found the user manual for the Somnetics, it’s 100-240V. https://mytranscend.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/104149-Rev-E.pdf#page27 Resmed mini, same voltage range. https://document.resmed.com/en-us/documents/products/machine/airmini/user-guide/airmini_user-guide_amer_eng.pdf So all three w...

Travel machines
I’m looking at the Resmed Mini, Breas Z2, and Somnetics Transcend Micro. It needs to adapt to European voltage, and only the Brea says it does. If the manufacturer doesn’t say it explicitly, I assume it doesn’t. Am I right? No point in buying a small machine if I have to pack more stupid gadgets to ...

Re: Florida Blue won't pay for a follow-up sleep test
Finally heard from the doc, I'm getting a new machine (paid for by insurance) and don't need a sleep study.

Re: Florida Blue won't pay for a follow-up sleep test
The doc’s office said yes the new machine is covered by insurance, but the sleep test is the snag. They’re STILL trying to find the magic spell to release the sleep test from the evil insurance dragon’s lair. Meaning, they haven’t looked into it yet.

I did call them, or it could have been "Carecentrix," their gatekeeper who sent the denial letter.

She got a test and new machine, through Medicare. I guess I can wait four more years and do the same.

Re: Florida Blue won't pay for a follow-up sleep test
It had been over five years since my first sleep test, and I was led to believe that after five years I was supposed to get a new machine, which required a new test to prove I still needed it. Many health insurance policies follow closely the Medicare guidelines. Medicare does not require a current...

Florida Blue won't pay for a follow-up sleep test
It had been over five years since my first sleep test, and I was led to believe that after five years I was supposed to get a new machine, which required a new test to prove I still needed it. Maybe that changed, or maybe it was wrong. I was told a year or so ago I couldn't get a new machine because...
