Re: OT: constant cyber-harassment
I gotta say guys, this conversation really breaks my heart. I am a coder, and I personally am eternally grateful to Jedimark for the endless hard work he MUST have put into Sleepyhead. It is a remarkable program. It has changed my life with regard to sleep. Without him, tens perhaps hundreds of thou...

You should really try and watch the videos that are in the link that Pugsy attached to her first reply. The information is quite good and will help you understand what is happening. When I first started with CPAP, I had a lot of Central events too. Under certain circumstances, Central Events can be ...

Re: Designing a high quality chin strap
I appreciate your entrepreneurial spirit. As others have said, chinstraps do not stop mouth leaks, but they can be helpful for some to keep the mouth from dropping fully open. I would start with something that works just for you, and if it feels like a breakthrough product, see if you can get anyone...

Re: SleepyHead software development PROPOSAL
Do you need the help of coding developers, and if so, what programming languages do they need to be fluent in?

Re: Is my CPAP broken?
Thanks for that djams. That looks almost exactly like mine!! That makes me feel a bit better, as I was afraid my machine was "fluttering" or something to cause me wake-ups. But now I have to actually figure out what else might be causing my arousals  I still need to go to my DME to get new fi...

Re: Is my CPAP broken?
Thanks for the link Palerider, I appreciate you looking that up. My heartbeat is definitely regular enough to account for the evenness of the artifacts that I am seeing. But I have to admit, it is a little hard to believe that the sensors in the little Resmed are sensitive enough to to pick up both ...

Re: Is my CPAP broken?
Thanks for the replies Julie and Rick. I am 6'2", 215lbs, so I am big but not enormous. I use a Simplus full-face mask, I take absolutely no medication, I am a side sleeper and NEVER sleep on my back, and I am aware that an AHI of 5 is certainly not ideal but my treatment is still a work in progress...

Is my CPAP broken?
Hi. I had my sleep study a little over a month ago and have been making adjustment that have helped significantly to get my AHI from 25 down to below 5 thanks to the good people here. But there is an abnormal flow rate in my sleepyhead data that I see every day that I haven't been able to get any an...

Re: Chin strap with ResMed AirFit N20 mask (Gary Aikin)
I was told by my DME to wear the chin strap under the mask strap. Makes sense. You don't want to have to take the chinstrap off if you need to remove your mask for some reason.

Re: Concern with Central Apnea
Thanks for the reassurance palerider. This Simplus mask that I am currently using has a large flap-type valve where it connects to the CPAP hose. When I woke up this morning, a couple of times I could actually feel it bouncing instead of just opening and closing. I would bet my bottom dollar that is...

Re: Concern with Central Apnea
I zoomed in and counted peaks for a minute and it was 73. Is it possible that somehow it is simply showing my heart rate in my flow rate graph??

Screenshot (13).png Happy Holidays Everyone! This right here is my gift. I never would have thought that I could achieve a report with so few events in it when this first all started. But thanks to the kind and good-hearted people on this site, I actually feel like I am going to survive. My depress...

Re: djam's therapy thread
I've only used my P10 one night, and then decided to hold off on it until I got a chinstrap and mouth tape in the mail, so have switched back to my full face mask for the time being. But I noticed the same thing that you did with the P10, the nasal pillow air felt "warmer" to me. Personally, I think...

Re: Tongue Problem
When I really think about it, my original post kind of seems like a silly question. If we had the ability to keep our tongues from falling to the back of our throats, we wouldn't have apnea now, would we? @LSAT, in the end, the Simplus may turn out to be my best option. But I drool often in th...

Tongue Problem
Screenshot (12).png So I got my shiny new Airfit P10 nasal pillows last night. Put them on around 9:30 and made some settings changes and read a book to slow down my mind. I fell asleep around 11pm, and you can tell from my flow rate that my breathing was really stable and good while I slept from 1...
