Re: New User with racing heart rate

I did have 2 small panic attacks when I first started. I woke up and couldn't get my mask off immediately, and for some reason my brain just went crazy. My ramp pressure starts at 6 and I feel no air starvation. Like you, I consider myself a beginner but the feeling of something strapped over your f...

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

I can only comment on your pillow question, and what I have tried. I could not get comfortable on my normal pillow but found a flat memory foam pillow. On top of that I use a small square pillow (the decorator type that you place on the ends of the couch.) I move the small pillow around to try and k...

Re: F-20 / F-30 headgear

Question. I'm new to this crazy cpap thing. Three days with new machine and Resmed F30 mask. So would an F20 cushion fit in my F30 frame and headgear? If so it would be a much less expensive way to try a different mask if I do have problems with my first mask.

Re: Just starting out. Hello All

The mask I wanted to try Resmed F30 was not in stock and should be on the way express mail. My disappointm...

Help estimating costs

I did start a newbie thread but this was more of a general question so I think a new post is might be best. I'm new to cpap, the recommendation from the study was for fixed cpap at a pressure setting of 10. After reading here I requested my doctor to write the prescription for auto cpap. The only ne...

Just starting out. Hello All

I recently had a sleep study, recommended by my cardiologist. The only info I got was a phone call from him. The test did show sleep apnea, and the sleep clinic was recommending cpap treatment. I'm about 40 miles from the nearest sleep specialist. After calling my family doctor a GP he is recommendi...
