Your recall notice will just be a couple of years behind the killer air bags they put in your car!
They were vague on any sort of availability. I'd really like some timeline. I assume it's not good or they'd give a timeline

Re: Philips Auto-BiPAP 121318-06505

ACBIO.com is also an official repair facility for Respironics (as well as ResMed) cpap machines so I wouldn't be surprised if they tell you that repairs on that model machine would be on hold with them as well. The DSX700xxx is the DreamStation BiPap Auto. That model is on the recall list...all Dre...

Re: Philips Auto-BiPAP 121318-06505

I'll be honest, the Craigslist option is enticing albeit I am concerned about the cleanliness of it. I clean my parts regularly, but would there be some more thorough "deep cleaning" that should be done if you get a used machine? That cleaning routine just may be what killed it @6505 hrs. We still ...

Re: Philips Auto-BiPAP 121318-06505

Since it's out of warranty, I was looking at some other CPAP repair places online. Any recommendations?> Call this place about repairing the ASV. https://acbio.com/ If by any remote chance of good luck you have warranty available...they can also handle that aspect. This place is frequently recommen...

We still don't know which model bipap you had? Should be a label on the bottom of it with a model #.

Re: Philips Auto-BiPAP 121318-06505

Thanks for all the info... I did try holding the button and plugging in power as suggested, no luck. I did remove the SD card, but I think I put it back in before boot. I'll try again and make sure I did it right. Yeah, I figured a part needs replacing. I've already ordered a new one because, well, ...

Philips Auto-BiPAP 121318-06505

My Philips Auto BiPAP failed tonight... getting Service Required 121318-06505 on the screen. No other info. When I first turn it on, it seems to restart several times before displaying that info. Desperate to get it working so I can sleep. I already ordered another one, just in case, but I love what...

For reference, I included the line with the suspicious "AUP". I'm open to other interpretations

Re: New to BiPAP - Advice on Equipment

Yeah, I have a request out to get a copy of the records. I don't know regarding the central sleep apnea; I'm just repeating what I was told :-\

Re: New to BiPAP - Advice on Equipment

The prescription says:

BiPAP 10/6 "aup" [note: not sure on that, hard to read], 10 IPAP/6 EPAP

Thank you again!

New to BiPAP - Advice on Equipment

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with central sleep apnea and prescribed a BiPAP machine. What are your recommendations on models? Of course, the doctor's office had an over-priced ResMed unit (about 40% higher than online). I'm wondering what your recommendations are from experience?

Thanks!

Re: NPR CPAP Story

That article is what got me here. I got diagnosed with sleep apnea just a few days ago. Glad I saw this beforehand - I might just buy the equipment outright to avoid those shenanigans. What would the folks here recommend as one that doesn't phone home automatically?
