Re: Resmed Airsense 10 Motor Noise
I sleep with ear plugs in, so all the outside sound is gone but this sound is actually transmitted through the hose and into my dreamwear mask, so I can hear it through my head. If you put your ear up to the machine, it is the same sound but a little louder. Its definitely the motor noise. What kind...

Resmed Airsense 10 Motor Noise
Hey all, I just finished a 1.5 month trial on a Dreamstation from my medical device supplier. I was using a loaner machine. When I went to get my own personal machine, my doctor (and lots of people online) recommended the Airsense 10 over the Dreamstation. Unfortunately, I have noticed that my Airse...

Re: New to cpap... lucky, but frustrated.
Glad to hear of your success! I'm in exactly the same boat as you, 30 years old and basically felt like I was deteriorating. Except my doctor never took me too seriously when I came to him complaining of fatigue, and by the time I got a sleep study scheduled I was 2 weeks away from hitting rock bott...

Re: 3rd night on APAP trial - High AHI and pressure is pegged
Here is the data from my fourth night (last night). I set the range from 9-16 to try and give it some more headroom, and I seemed to have a much more drastically reduced AHI despite my pressure not really increasing from the night before. One thing that is concerning me is the large amount of Period...

Re: 3rd night on APAP trial - High AHI and pressure is pegged
Thanks so much for your insights Pugsy, your comments in my other thread allowed me to adjust the machine so that I didn't feel suffocated at all. I'll adjust the pressure and see how it goes!

3rd night on APAP trial - High AHI and pressure is pegged
Hello! I tried my best to follow the guidelines for posting the images here so please let me know if I can improve. Last night was my third night on APAP. Unfortunately I ripped my nasal pillow off between 11-1, but once I realized that I got what I know was some sleep between at least 1-4. I am see...

Re: I want to throw in the towel!
I’m new. Three nights in and I can’t breathe. I feel like I’m suffocating and have gotten maybe 5 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours. I am more sleepy now during the day than I was before. I have a nasal pillow and said I sometimes breathe through my mouth which makes it worse. When I got it, I as...

Re: Just got my diagnosis and machine, having some questions!
Did you try to use the ramp last night? If you did...don't. The lower pressure during start of ramp could be a big factor in the "not getting enough air" feeling. If you didn't...we can maybe come up with alternative to help you out depending on the answer to this question. Also...what size of nasa...

Just got my diagnosis and machine, having some questions!
SYNOPSIS & DIAGNOSIS: Some of you may recall I posted a thread about how I've been tired and having major health problems for months in this thread https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=173657 - I had done my sleep study and was minutes away from buying an APAP online out of my own pocket when th...

Yes agreed, also the ability for the end user to use Sleepyhead to fine tune their machine seems like a godsend. I love anything 'open source', and from my outsider perspective it seems a little crazy that people get locked into one setting after a titration study night.

Re: Tired to the bone and at my wits end. Just did sleep study.
If you live in Ottawa I have a spare that I would be happy to let you use if you are comfortable with that, until your appt on the 30th. An Airsense 10 Autoset for Her. That's the one I bought from Secondwind and it is now my back up machine. I now use the CPAP Elite which I obtained finally throug...

Re: Tired to the bone and at my wits end. Just did sleep study.
Your decision will be influenced a lot by which province you're located in, and also what your insurance covers. Different provinces have different programs covering XPAP... Ontario has a very generous program for example. If your provincial health program doesn't cover it, then a private health pl...

Re: Tired to the bone and at my wits end. Just did sleep study.
Decent choices on the mask and machine but given there is so much we don't know ....if it were me I would rather have the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet or the older big brother the S9 AutoSet if at all possible. Where are you located? If in the US...contact this forum member http://www.cpaptalk.com/me...
