Re: Respiration Rate above normal value
Those are *not* "massive flow limitations", they are ballisticardigraphic effects showing up in the respiratory flow. I dare to differ: according to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4688581/ I'm inclined to detect some class 2 and 3 limitations in the second screenshot posted. Where am ...

Re: Respiration Rate above normal value
A high *indicated* respiration rate may occur when there are massive flow limitations which are not detected as such by the machine. See for example these screenshots: Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-03 um 10.57.34.png Bildschirmfoto 2020-10-03 um 10.52.14.png Clearly massive flow limitations are present, bu...

Re: Problem with my P30i nasal pillow mask
And after he looked at it (and after viewing a u tube video about the mask, in particular the pillows exhilation vent) he found that the vent was not working. Put the mask on, machine is running. Notice that air escapes from the mask's top vent. Now close the vent on the pillow with your fingers. Y...

Re: Flow Limitation
A FL is not an 'almost apnea', a FL is a reduction is airflow RATE whereas both hypopneas and apneas are reductions in airflow VOLUME. Think of a FL as breathing through a straw, you can still get a full breath, but it takes more effort, leading to more fatigue, which will reduce your sleep effecti...

Re: Nose pain (septum) Resmed P30i
The last 2 weeks however, I switched to ResMed P30i and I was feeling liberated, it's much less on the face, and no left over impressions on your skin if you wake up. A clear: me too. In the first weeks I ran in the same problems: it took some time for my nose to grow accustomed to the P30i, which ...

Re: Weird Stats - Is this normal?
I'd like to try deleting all data from 1969 through until 2017 for this profile, but I don't see how to do it. Is there a link you can share that shows the process? I couldn't find it in the wiki, nor in a search on CPAPtalk. Go that day in December 69 in "Daily View". The Choose Data->Advanced->Cl...

Not for my mouth, it's kinda working too much in the night. So I've tried "Fixomull stretch" with great success.

Re: Is there a mask with a decent enough check valve to release your exhale?
P30i vs N30i: I have both. They both vent at the top hose connection in the elbow. That seems a good distance for exhaled air to travel to get out, but you CAN feel warm exhaled air come out of this vent. They both also have a highly diffused venting system built into the cushion or pillow. You can...

Re: Mouth tape leak or mask leak?
Hi Mike: I am just now seeing this post. Now that you have been using it for awhile how do you like it? I have very sensitive skin and most of the tapes have damaged my skin including causing it to bleed - just ruining my face. Even the Bleep tape began damaging my nose. So curious to know what you...

Re: Can CPAP cause unusually high blood pressure?
I have been on CPAP for about a month so far. I noticed after the first day my blood pressure shot up to 170 over 110. My doctor increased my Motropolol to four pills a day from 3. I also take one losartan pill daily. Both are blood pressure medications. Had usually 170/100 and even more in the eve...

Re: Mouth tape leak or mask leak?
Me too. That 3M tape wasn't sticky enough for my face, I finally arrived in "Fixomull stretch" made by BSN. Works like a charm for me. It is a bit more sticky an a lot more flexible.
