Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

A new night, new settings, new data: https://i.imgur.com/wRFBDJx.png https://i.imgur.com/hdZhMup.png AHI is higher than the last two nights, although is still 45% lower than average. And I'm not really clear on what's considered "good." Literature says <5 is considered normal, but I admit to feeling...

Let me see what sort of full face mask I might have in my stash of donated stuff. I need to get in it for someone else anyway.
Don't have much but I might have something you could try for free.
Wow. That is unexpectedly generous. Thank you.

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

How about a 1 cm in crease in both EPAP and IPAP? BiFlex setting of your choice if you need or want it. Alright, bumping up to 15/13. Will report back tomorrow. Also, a question for the group: I'm developing a rash between my lip and my chin. It's incredibly unsightly. I've tried using aloe the pas...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

Well, not as good as the previous night, but I have to say, I didn't feel too badly about this sleep. I've definitely had worse night. I do remember waking up a couple of times -- turned on my side and dozed off. And I was unusually groggy this morning, and lazy getting out of bed (which was kinda n...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

I have no idea what the sleep center meant with the comment about "intolerance to the higher pressures". Don't know when whatever happened or why it might have happened or what they were trying when whatever it was happened. As I understood, part of the reason they prescribed bilevel was because I ...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

So last night is a very decent report. In comparison to my others, absolutely. In comparison to some that I've people post here, I feel like theres a long way to go... Did I see you mention that you actually slept??? Aside from two very bad nights, I slept. Maybe woke up to urinate or get comfortab...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

I have mixed feelings about this machine in general because of the VS2 flagging. There have been some situations where the machine sensors were faulty and we got an inordinate number of VS2 snores showing up that never really went away with more pressure (and real snores should go away with more pr...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

Well, 14/9 with BiFlex switched off turned out to be a mixed bag... https://i.imgur.com/Zol7rac.png On the positive side, I only had 6 Obstructive Apneas, which is 4 fewer than average (9.9) On the neutral side, Snoring is almost unchanged (152 last night, 153.3 average). Ditto for RERAs, which are ...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

So I'm adjusting settings for tonight. Leaving IPAP at 14, putting EPAP back to 9... then I was perusing the menu and saw a section for Bi Flex set to 2. I looked in the manual, and I Googled a bit, but can't seem to get a good plain English description of this "comfort" feature. Could this be the ...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

Well, it's pretty much unheard of that *more* pressure results in *more* obstructives. But, sleep does vary from night to night, and you may just have had a bad night. hmm... Either it's your imagination, or your machine is faulty. Or the mask. Pity I can't just go down to the local market and take...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

It’s starting to look like you have positional apnoea and will require a BiLevel with more pressure for when your on your back. The Bipap pro is basically a fixed pressure machine and cannot provide what you need Thanks for your reply, Jas... If I may, I have a couple follow up questions... First, ...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

Well, I had a pretty rough night... I adjusted the settings +1 from 13/9 to 14/10 and the results are not positive. https://i.imgur.com/YW7oFoA.png And for comparison, here's last night: https://i.imgur.com/IYYfeOl.png And also for comparison, here's my best night: https://i.imgur.com/bUqiX48.png If...

Re: Newbie / Accuracy Questions

Thank you for saying so. I build websites for a living, and have been using BBSes since the days when we had to dial into them with Procomm Plus, so was starting to feel like I was losing my mind with each incorrect posting. lol. OMG! BBS!! and you had to pay the long distance charges. i well remem...
