Re: Taking BiPAP to Europe- how to plug in?

Had to step away for a few days and came back to entire sub thread! haha Thank you all for the input. I wasn't sure if I needed to buy a new plug entirely for the machine but it sounds like an adapter is all I need. Thanks!

Taking BiPAP to Europe- how to plug in?

I'm heading to France (staying two weeks) in the coming months and it's the first time with my bipap device. For those who travel, how do you connect your machine? Do you get a portable battery and bring it along, get a transformer/converter? If so, which ones to ensure it works and is powerful enou...

Re: CPAP when you're congested

Thank you all. I'll try a lot of "prep" to clear congestion before going to sleep.

Re: CPAP when you're congested

What a judgmental, unhelpful response! Very odd that you responded the way you did (name calling and all). I'm a fairly new CPAP user and this is the first time I've been congested with a stuffed up nose and trying to figure out what to do with treatment. If you don't have any helpful advice please ...

Re: CPAP when you're congested

Thank you Pugsy- sounds like I should just keep trying despite being congested, and keep treating the symptoms. Thank you. I treat the symptoms just like I would if I didn’t use a Cpap. Meds for whatever.....runny nose, congestion, cough etc. If a hot steamy shower helps the nose the crank up the hu...

CPAP when you're congested

Do you keep using or take a break with your CPAP when you're sick- sore throat, runny nose and congested? I kept at it the first three days but woke with an even sorer throat and it was hard to breathe since I have a runny nose. I've heard some people just don't use their CPAP during being sick and ...

Night cream with CPAP

When I started CPAP I wasn't sure how the mask would work with my night care regimen, especially finding a good moisturizing night cream that won't rub off on the tubing and mask. I am happy to say I have a great night cream that dries a little like a mask so it doesn't rub or dirty the straps/mask ...

Re: Various cleaning methods

Great to read your replies. I guess I'm generally doing fine then with the soap and water and schedule. I wasn't sure how obsessive I had to be with it all. Thx.

Various cleaning methods

Hi all- I've read a lot (on this board and just general internet searches) on cleaning CPAP. I'm also seeing people who have sinus issues or infections they say are caused from their CPAP. So, what is the best way and frequency to clean the CPAP parts? I've read soap and water, water and white vineg...

Side Sleeper pillows?

Newbie here. I have been using my device for about 5 weeks. I like the mask I'm using and it stays put most of the time. I am a side sleeper and wondering if my fellow side sleepers have one of the specialty pillows for side sleepers with CPAP and if it makes a difference at all.
