Re: Therapy Consistency

It would be useful to see a screen shot of your Overview page, with maybe a 3-month lookback. The main parts to include would be: Events Pressure Leaks Usage. In the one piece of Oscar information you provided, you are maxing out on pressure within the pressure range of your settings. Before thinkin...

Re: Advice/Guidance on my journey back into CPAP

You're getting such good advice here. I would suggest trying palerider's recommended revision to your pressure settings first to see whether that takes care of the problem. You might want to start by raising your minimum to 8. (That will also allow you to get the full effect of the nice EPR right at...

Re: DEEP/REM sleep pattern with cpap

I sometimes use my Dreem device, which has an EEG capacity, and when I got a Fitbit, I compared the results the two devices produced. The Fitbit output deviated from the Dreem output a lot, and given the superior data collection the Dreem can do, I trust it over the Fitbit. So, don't assume the Fitb...

Ask potential sleep clinics or doctors what their follow-up procedures are.

Re: Thank You

Aren't the people here great? Like you, I'd have chucked it if I hadn't got help from the forum members. A lot of the help is practical, and for me, some of it is psychological too -- just knowing I'm not alone with all the strange things that can happen.

Re: Did you get your flu vaccine?

My second shingles shot yesterday really knocked me over. I was awake all night with chills, muscle pain, and fever. I was shaking so hard I couldn't sleep, but couldn't imagine being bale to walk up and down the stairs to get some Advil. Around 2AM I finally managed to go get the Advil. That helpe...

Re: Reading data from Oscar - Hypopnea's

If you have a lot of nasal congestion, you might play around with the humidity. For some people, more helps with congestion; for others less is better. Also, you might ask your allergist about starting to use some medications to reduce the post-nasal drip, which is a special drag when you're using P...

Re: Reading data from Oscar - Hypopnea's

Please follow Pugsy's advice! I would add one thing: you have some significant flow limitations along with the hypopneas. The FLs may be bothering you some at night -- or not. For some people, they are no bother at all. EPR can help with flow limitations, and I've seen knowledgeable people on other ...

Vich, good luck with the mask quest! Keep at it; the right mask fitted correctly to your unique face will really make the PAP experience better for you. If you follow the link Pugsy provided, you'll se the Reliance circuit alarm. I have one plugged into the circuit my machine is on. It makes a noise...

Re: Closed MRI

I found a web page that might reassure you: https://info.iowaradiology.com/what-should-i-know-about-sedation-for-mri (Though why your doctor won't talk with you about this beats me.) What I take away is that you will feel relaxed, but you will not be sedated. I've had closed MRIs, and the best tip I...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

You did it -- posted a chart! Well done. Next time, try squeezing in a few more graphs. You can do that by grabbing the gray bars that separate them and pushing them up a little. Here are the basic graphs for a screenshot: Events Flow rate Pressure Leaks Snores Flow limitations. I'd be especially in...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10, turn on "events per hour" in report menu?

You've already downloaded Oscar -- that's excellent. Not sure what the reference to the cloud means, but just wanted to go over a few points. The SD card in your machine records your data for the night. To get the data into the Oscar software, you need an SD card reader. If there's a slot in your co...

Re: on CPAP for 5months, still wake up exhausted ???

Like Zonker, I'd like to see your answers to Pugsy's questions (though I see you've mentioned you feel you sleep soundly). And some tips about posting charts: * include the stuff at the very top, which includes your pressure settings, machine name, etc. * include all but only these graphs: Events Fl...
