Re: Please help me with my sleep reports
Welcome! I'm so sorry I missed seeing your post last week. I spot-checked your hypopneas and CAs, and almost all of them clearly arise from arousal breathing. I'll explain more about that below. You also have a lot of flow limitations. Is your nose stuffy? Do you have any reports from the time befor...

I grew up in Nyack, southeast of Tuxedo Park, and people in NYC referred to it as being upstate. It's like that Steinberg cartoon, only north/south.

Please check with the airline to make sure that using both the battery and the CPAP machine are permitted on your flight.

Yesterday was awful. After one post, which took multiple tries, I gave up. Today is slow but better.

Re: Medicare requires repeated new split study? After 15 years of cpap use.
Gen99, the links you provided show that you are absolutely correct and your sleep doctor is absolutely wrong. Can your primary care physician intervene to get this sorted out? If not, in your place I would escalate the issue rapidly within the Kaiser system. I'm a Kaiser patient myself, and I just t...

I've recently had some failed efforts to connect and a lot of slow-down. I use Firefox.

Re: More relaxed, lower AHI but feel more tired
I don't know what's going on, but I have two suggestions. One is to post a typical chart for a relaxed, low-AHI, tired-the-next day night and a typical chart for a non-relaxed, higher-AHI, less-tired-the-next-day chart. The other is to keep notes for a few weeks about how you feel during the day and...

Re: Please help me on my situation
To function well during the day, most people need at least 7 hours of actual sleep (which will be more than 7 hours in bed). As you address other problems, I hope you can work on your schedule to provide yourself with the sleep you need.

Re: Please help me on my situation
Did you spend only 4 hours 22 minutes in bed, or did you sleep part of the night without using your machine?

Re: Leakage and Pressure Level adjustment
Just to clarify: a CA is flagged whenever you have a pause in your breathing of 10 seconds or more that is not associated with obstruction. That is, 10 seconds is the magic number. Your CAs look as though they come after you exhale, so I don't think you're holding your breath. They do come after dee...

Re: Leaks and MyAir reporting
If you're having a lot of very large leaks, that AHI number may not mean much, because the machine can't always detect events during large leaks. It'd be great if you could download Oscar (see below) and post a chart so we can see what's going on.

Re: UARS and CA events... time for an ASV?
Thanks for the additional snippet. I see what might be arousal breathing at 8:07:30. It's pretty hard to tell whether there are other bits of arousal breathing during this segment, or just perhaps some sighs. And it's hard to tell whether you're truly asleep for some of this, though I think yes. The...
