Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription

telehealth won't write for dme supplies. I'll just order and have my daughter pick up there for me. IF it were me, I'd put that money towards another plan. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t187337/Medicare-Open-Enrollment-is-Here.html I'm not old enough for medicare. Some of us still have to work...

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription

Yeah agreed on the weird laws but looks like I am going to need to continue to take advantage of it as my script is expired and telehealth won't write for dme supplies. I'll just order and have my daughter pick up there for me. Not really a hardship since I'm there fairly frequently. Went this weeke...

Re: Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

It depends on what is written on the RX that cpap.com has on file. Some docs write an expiration date on the RX. Even when not doing the insurance thing the online sellers have to abide by whatever is written on the RX. Example...mine says 99 years so I am good for a long time. But docs are getting...

Cpap.com prescription no longer valid?

Just tried to buy a mask from cpap.com and it says my prescription is no longer valid. I didn't think supply prescriptions expired when not using insurance.

Re: Why Your DME Requires an Annual Prescription

Just this weekend I was in Vegas at my daughter's house when my short hose developed a leak. It was the only replacement part I didn't have with me. Went to a local cpap store and they wanted $55 for the short hose. but they let me buy the full mask kit for $104. No prescription needed. 🤷‍♀️...

Re: Traditional medicare rules about prescriptions

Filter or mask ? You can buy a 3 year supply of filters off of amazon for under $15. No prescription needed. You can get masks parts as well. You can't buy the whole kit but you can get all the pieces separately and put it together yourself.

Re: Mask/Tubing storage during the day

I use a command hook cord bundler hung to my head board and shove the mask under my pillow. I too have a puppy. https://www.amazon.com/Command-Cord-Bundlers-White-3-PACK/dp/B01N3VOXJJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?crid=221CJHMAJUPX7&keywords=command+hook+hanger+loop&qid=1696522276&sprefix=command+hook+hanger+loop...

Re: Elderly mom, balky, and her Luna machine

Some thing I haven't seen suggested yet is having her wear it while awake to get used to it. Have her do it when she is relaxed, reading or watching tv. Once you understand how it works and are friendly with it, it gets easier to sleep with. You sister may be able to better understand at what point ...

You're an old dude. Green oral tissues sont désormais à la mode. I bet you also don't have any tats, nose piercings, cheek/dimple piercings, eyebrow piercings, or dermal piercings.
Whats old got to do with anything? I'm old. I have 11 tats and a cartilage piercing.

Re: teenager cpap compliance, what type of help do we need??

I disagree with the post above. You are the parent. You make the tough decisions. Threaten him all you want as long as you follow through. Teens are supposed to resent you. Its is how you make healthy adults, your not their friend. Take away his phone, his video games, his friend or girlfriend plans...
