Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

Thank you for the info on expiratory relief! A new question: My husband and I love to travel so now I am thinking ahead to our trips and wondering: WHAT IS THE BEST CPAP FOR TRAVEL? I have read about the AirMini but in looking at some of the posts about it, I am daunted by all the comments on its ea...

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

( Hi Wordbabe. I'm new here (today) and new to cpap (2 weeks). Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know. I started with a Sefam machine and I had exactly the problem you describe. I woke up several times a night to a hurricane blowing about my nose. I changed machine to a respironics...

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

Thank you all for your helpful replies!!! An update to my update......I went to the Medical supply place and told them about my mask issues. They suggested I try the Airfit F20 FFM. So far the good news is that it doesn't seem to leak as much as the Airfit F30 AND I can sleep on my side without one ...

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

Thank you! I will do just that. In the meantime, however, what happens is that I wake up in the middle of the night feeling air kind of exploding in my mouth and my mask makes these awful "farting" sounds. :( I have an appointment with the Medical supply company this afternoon and will be trying on ...

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

It's been a while since I posted my initial question but I just wanted to update my situation. I was FINALLY able to solve the SD card problem regarding the uploading of info to Sleepyhead. It was almost embarrassingly easy...I purchase an SD card reader on Amazon for $10.00 and now I can see all my...

Re: Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

Thank you for these responses!! So.... what I'm gathering, then, is that I should not be having AHI events (or, I guess, fewer than what I am experiencing). Regarding pillows, I'm going to try the CPAP pillow I bought from B,B andB. Maybe I just have to be patient with getting used to it as it may h...

Newbie here (2 months) and feeling discouraged (:

<t>As a woman of a certain age who had sleep issues for years, I was actually relieved to discover (via a home test) that I had OSA as I thought it would solve my sleep problems once and for all. (For the record, I was diagnosed as having moderate apnea with an average of 17.5 AHIs an hour going up ...
