Event # question
I have been using my cpap machine and getting reports every morning about what's going on. (resmed) My scores have been pretty good but they keep telling me that I have been having a lot of events (stop breathing). I always thought that this is going to happen anyway and the machine just helps you k...

Full face mask frame.
I think I have narrowed my search down for a full face mask.
The Res Med air fit F 20 or the Fisher paykel simplus.
One has the frame top piece on the forehead and the other has it running below your eyes on the cheeks.
What do you like best?

How/where did you buy your mask?
I am really having a problem picking out a mask. I started with a nose pillow only because that's what was used on my sleep test. It seemed to work. I find out my jaw drops open and it doesn't work. I've tried a chin strap and the air pushes through my lips. I am now looking at a full face mask but ...

Nose pillow questions
I have been trying my cpap machine for a week now and still haven't had it on for more than 2 hours. I have a nose pillow and I also use a chin strap. I seems that just when I start to fall asleep, the pressure starts to rise and my mouth opens enough that it wakes me up so I haven't been getting mu...

Can anyone with a res med air sense machine tell if the heated hose can be
unplugged ( the electric connection) when not using the humidifier or would
I have to purchase a separate hose?
Thank you.

Face mask????
When I had my sleep test, they put a nasal pillow on me. I found that to work okay. I don't think I would like the full mask (nose/mouth) and I know I wouldn't like the mask that has the 2 nasal inserts. I was wondering if anyone uses the nasal pillow and your thoughts Also, I have a mustache. Anyon...

Heated tubing? Heated humidifier?
I think I have decided to go with a Resmed Airsense machine. I would like some input as to heated tubing as opposed to not heated. Heated humidifier??? Would you need one or the other but not both heated? Can the heated tubing be disabled when not need? (in a humid country) My prescription has 13 on...

Cpap buyer still confused! (Canadian in Alberta)
I am totally confused as to where I should purchase my cpap machine. I was given a sleep test and was told by the Dr. that yes, you need a cpap machine. He wrote the prescription and said see you. I got absolutely no guidance on where to go or how things work. I don't have insurance to cover the cos...

Re: Purchasing a cpap machine
I was looking at the philips dreamstation auto. My prescription says to set the machine at 13. I will have to buy it myself. I had a cpap machine years ago when they were as big as tractors and just as loud. What amazes me is the price differential between local and online. Online is just about 1/3 ...

Purchasing a cpap machine
I am wondering if anyone has purchased their machine online? I have been to the local suppliers and find that the prices of the same machine on line is half the price compared to local dealers. It also seems like a cartel locally where they have decided to fix the price! Any advice to buying online?...
