Do you have this rigged for the other 17 hours per day that you breathe?
Yes. Thanks for your concern?

Re: Larger better filter?

While your new filter system will certainly flow better, what is the micron rating of this filter? What is the micron rating of the stock filter? I don't know either... I do know actually? Your choice of what filter to choose to put on this. That’s the point, with the much larger surface area you h...

Re: Larger better filter?

That’s nice! If I’d seen that I would have done that instead, I already have extra filters around.

Closeup of the CPAP end adapter (stainless steel tube, silicon tube over, inserted into CPAP tube to tube adapter): IMG_5963.jpeg Inserted into the machine (with hose cover because given enough time one of my cats will bite the tube just to see what happens): IMG_5971.jpeg All together now: IMG_5973...

Larger better filter?

Here's a likely crazy thing I did today with my AirSense 10, which I do not recommend anyone else does, but here are the details if you want. Also tell me why this may be a terrible idea. Parts that I ended up using: Stainless Steel Round Tube 13mm OD 0.5mm Wall Thickness (cut to about 3.5") Silicon...

You probably can use the aforementioned O2 port, the Zepahir AirMini Universal Adapter
Thanks. The only problem I see with that is it eliminates the mini's humidification chamber.

I'm starting to think I'd just get a metal O2 hose fitting and drill a hole somewhere in the hose fittings.

Re: Resmed AirMini and oxygen?

Our new car is very tight on storage space! And I don't always need to bring the O2 along, I just need the option.

Re: Resmed AirMini and oxygen?

I haven’t seen one listed for the airmini hose.

Resmed AirMini and oxygen?

Has anyone figured out a way to use oxygen with their AirMini? I'm thinking about getting an AirMini for travel, but at times I also need supplemental oxygen. The ResMed Airsense 10 that I'm using now has an optional Resmed heated hose with an oxygen port, or I can just put a standard size oxygen po...

Re: What happened here?

I've tried a couple things since this, first a chin strap, then full face mask (one night each so far) to see if I could stop this by stopping any chance of air getting out through my mouth. Interestingly, this pattern of little or no exhale pressure still happens with each. So where is that air goi...

Re: What happened here?

Looking over last night, I do see this same pattern before a couple of the apneas OSCAR flagged.

Re: What happened here?

I was so unclear! I was wondering about the period from the far left of the graph up to the beginning of the very irregular breathing. The trace shows you exhaling just a tiny bit, breath after breath. The air you inhaled has to be going somewhere, so I’m figuring you’re exhaling through your mouth...

Re: What happened here?

I’m curious what was going on before the mad scramble. You don’t have a normal trace for your exhalations. Possibly you were exhaling through your mouth while inhaling through your nose. Does the rest of the night look like that? Me too -- I'm wondering if that 20 seconds happened before or after I...

Re: What happened here?

Mostly because, as I say, it's happened before? And it's why I have a CPAP. The last time this happened, when it eventually turned out I had pneumonia, the doctors initially just said "your CPAP machine must not be working right." I did talk to both my PCP who referred me to an RCP this time, but th...

What happened here?

A few days ago I woke up gasping for breath, feeling like I was trying to breath through a drink stirring straw or something. It took a while (no idea really how long, tens of seconds? A couple minutes?) for my airway to slowly open so I could breath normally. It's the sort of thing that used to hap...
