Re: CPAP flow rate question
Thanks Palerider, Ive thought the same, that pauses in breathing are normal after exhalation. However, for some reason i think that im subconsciously fighting my cpap machine all night. I seem to push back agsints the cpap pressure after exhalation with a vacuum in my chest and throat. To me it feel...

CPAP flow rate question
Hi All, I wanted to get your input on my Flow rate graph below. This is a typical flow rate graph for me and so far after 3 years of CPAP use I am unsuccessful in getting a good nights rest. Specifically, does anyone know what the flat lining is which happens after each exhalation? Are those normal?...

Re: New to the forum, wanted to share my Sleepy Head data
I have no idea what might be responsible for the burning sensations you are describing. The only time I have ever had any such sensation was when the nasal pillow got sort of sideways a bit in my nostril and for me right inside the nostril was the only place that I felt the burning. I repositioned ...

Re: CPAP use after septoplasty, turbinate reduction surgery?
Several years ago I was told to refrain from CPAP for 5-7 days. Depends on how the procedure is done and whether the nose is packed or not. I resumed after 3 days at a reduced pressure...Didn't change my CPAP use...just helped with breathing. LSAT, Did this Turbinate reduction help with your breath...

Re: CPAP use after septoplasty, turbinate reduction surgery?
Has anyone had their deviated septum (septoplasty) and turbinate reduction and was able to use their CPAP the same night? I'm currently scheduled next week for the procedure. My ENT doctor claims he is OK with me trying it. But from all the videos I've seen, there may be major nasal congestion. I u...

Re: New to the forum, wanted to share my Sleepy Head data
While doing some research on this forum re flow line charts someone mentioned that lines like these might be indicative of a collapsed airway? Tonight I will be turning off my Cflex to see if it helps any. Although I beleive I also read that on RemStars cflex should not be an issue because it stops ...

Re: New to the forum, wanted to share my Sleepy Head data
How many time do you think you might wake up during the night? Take any medications even OTC? If so what? We can't spot UARS on these graphs anywhere. The machine simply can't do that for us. I sure wish it could. I wake up quite frequently each night but I quickly go back to sleep. I dont take any...

Re: New to the forum, wanted to share my Sleepy Head data
Any special reason the extremely tight auto/apap range of pressures? Your pressure line on the full detailed image looks weird...do they all look like that? Do you have night where the sleep was more solid and not fragmented with the stoppage in the middle of the night? Is this a typical night for ...

New to the forum, wanted to share my Sleepy Head data
Hello everyone, I have been a lurker on this forum for a few weeks and finally registered today. Have been using CPAP for almost three years now, have used it virtually every night. The first couple of months on CPAP were great, I had never woken up so refreshed in my life. Then for some reason, I b...
