Re: ResMed P30i user review
I switched to the p30i about 3 weeks ago, really like it. Wondering what kind of life other users are getting from the nasal pillows before switching them out? I switched from a p10 and got probably around 6 months, maybe longer from a pair. Hoping the p30i pillows last as long. Did anyone ever res...

Re: New to nasal pillows; is this leak rate acceptable?
Thanks to all of you who gave me feedback. I'm going to continue with the P30i for now and see how I feel after a month or two. Although a couple of you disagree, it looks like several voices of experience don't think that leak rate is necessarily causing a complete loss of therapy. I do find the he...

New to nasal pillows; is this leak rate acceptable?
I posted previously about having trouble with a full face mask, my first (and second) masks after starting treatment. I asked my equipment supplier to try out the new ResMed p30i and have found it very unobtrusive (though a bit noisy through the supply tubes in the frame). The headgear/strap doesn't...

Re: Can't tolerate mask when waking during the night
I know when I started, my prescription was for a minimum pressure of 5, but after feedback on this forum, I increased it and had much better results. With the pressure of 5, I just didn't feel like I was getting enough air. I now start at 7.5, but I think many people use an even higher minimum pres...

Re: Can't tolerate mask when waking during the night
Might try my full-face mask, click on it in my signature to view it on our host's site www.cpap.com . It has pillows and covers the mouth so no loss of therapy air. Comes with 3 sizes of pillows and oral cushion. I have claustrophobia and this mask doesn't trigger it as I don't really see it when I...

Re: Can't tolerate mask when waking during the night
Based on your graphs, 2 things stand out: It’d be good to resolve the leak issues, as that may be quite disruptive to your sleep quality: YMMV. If you set your minimum pressure at 8, you’d likely feel more like you’ve got enough air, and from the data, it seems likely that’d get your AHI down lower...

Can't tolerate mask when waking during the night
I've been using APAP since October 2018. I initially had lots of problems tolerating a FFM (ResMed) that was on the bridge of my nose, but did much better after switching to the Dreamware FFM. In fact, I had 100% compliance, usually 7+ hours per night use, in January. However, for the last 6 weeks o...

Re: Resmed 10 Display Brightness Question
Sometimes my display is bright and sometimes it's dim and I can't see any variable that makes it one way or the other. When it was delivered the DME even noticed it and had no idea why. I don't see any type of auto brightness setting that could be causing it. Anyone else experienced this and how do...

Re: Newbie: new CPAP makes me gasp
A lower setting of 4 is way too low! I have never heard of anyone having (and keeping) the lower setting that low. My daughter started at a 6, and it was too low for her. She was feeling the same symptoms as you. She now has her setting at 7 or 8. I would suggest a setting of 6 or 7 for you. Give i...

Re: Newbie: new CPAP makes me gasp
4.0-20.0 range of pressure That's the factory default setting. For most people, it doesn't work optimally. Tweaking the pressure settings is often necessary. Have you read "Sticky: Newbies PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING " and just above that the Sleepyhead tutorial? You can probably get some good advic...

Newbie: new CPAP makes me gasp
Hello, I've just started using a CPAP this week. I'm using a full face mask, and while I'm not thrilled having it on, it isn't too bad when the air pressure starts at 4.0. However, once it ramps up to around 10, I find during occasional breaths that I feel like there is suction in the mask that make...
