Tooth pain with Cpap after a filling
I got a tooth filled a week ago. Starting a few days after that when I use my cpap for more than an hour, even with just a nasal mask, the tooth I had filled hurts very badly into the next day. I called the dentist and they are just giving me a verbal shrug. The tooth is fine if I don't use my mask,...

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
Would 7 still be possibly too low, and would having the minimum higher than that cause any problems?

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
Also rainout. Heated tube set to 75, room was 73. Had humidity set to 5 and the machine below the bed. What else could I have done to help the rainout? Can rainout cause nostrils to swell? It wasn't horrible, just a bit of water.

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
What would cause a person to feel like they are fighting against resistance to breathe in? As in it felt like there was something in the way.?
Also how could I break it up to be more understandable?

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
I've been doing okay breathing against the pressure. It's breathing in that was bothering me yesterday. As if there was something in the way of the air. The last couple days, before yesterday, I was finding the same thing as you say that I would wake up and feel relaxed about the pressure. I just di...

Need help making sense of last night and what to do.
So I've been doing trial and error like Pugsy suggested. The night before last I had it at humidity 4 temp 75. I woke up with my nose fine but my mouth feeling a little dry. Since I did well with humidity 5 I decided to try that again last night. Pressure was at 6.4-20 like I've had it for the last ...

Re: ADHD and Sleep Apnea
Thank you for this. I have 2 with ADHD, and one of them has severe behavioral problems and fits a lot of this. Because of reading this I talked to their pediatrician and she agreed to send them for a sleep study.

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
Thank you Julie. I started the cold symptoms yesterday morning. I will keep on eye on the congestion from the machine though. I may try 4 through the night tonight and see how it goes just in case.

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
Julie, I'm not exactly sure but it was extremely strange keeping my mouth closed the whole time. Pugsy, I tried it for about 2 1/2 hours throughout the evening trying to adapt so I could try it well at bedtime. I left one humidifier setting on until I just couldn't stand the dryness. For auto that w...

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
Thank you. I will try these settings. One thing though. I've been sitting here just trying to adapt before I try to sleep. I've had it on for an hour and my nose and mouth have super dried out. I tried it on humidity 3, 4, and auto. Should I just turn the humidity way up?

Re: Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
Thank you Julie. I was able to figure it out how to change it fairly quick. This machine seems super easy to use. Do you think 7-20 is a good starting pressure range? Just to kind of see? They prescribed me a set 5. I really really hate the feeling trying to breathe at a 5.

Therapy Questions for me as a newbie
I just picked up my machine. I ended up with a dreamwear nasal (I think it's called cushions. The ones that don't go inside your nose but sit under), and a resmed autosense 10 for her. My prescription from the titration had me at 5cm but that setting felt very much like I wasn’t getting any air when...

Re: Which mask to ask for?
I just found out that generally my insurance doesn't cover cpap unless your AHI number is above 15 or above 5 and you score really high on the daytime sleepiness (lucky me that I do I guess). That seems crazy to me. Wouldn't an AHI of 15 still potentially cause some serious health problems?

Re: Which mask to ask for?
Thank you Lucyhere. I was able to call the DME they sent my subscription to and looks like that machine plus the mask I want to try should be no problem. You helped me a ton. Thank you!
