Re: Flimsy velcro
Remember mask manufacturers want us to buy a new product instead of making products last longer....that's how they make more money. It's planned.... It's a good point, although this is always a fine line to walk, as if they make consumers too dissatisfied with their products they may switch to a co...

Re: Flimsy velcro
It has magnetized clips, but I generally find I can't use the same setting all night. I start off with one level of tension, then have to increase it as the mask gets moisturized throughout the night. But I don't use the velcro to put it on or remove it. ETA: It's not really that the velcro comes lo...

Re: Flimsy velcro
The weak velcro drives me nuts as well. And like the OP, it's that way even when the headgear is brand new. I have never encountered brand new velcro that is so weak on any other product, and aside from being annoying, it also makes me curious as to the reason. Are they concerned that very elderly o...

Re: Dent in my head from the straps
The bandana worked! There were some kind of wrinkle marks on my jaw and upper neck from the bandana itself, but way less obvious looking than the strap shape. Thanks

Re: Dent in my head from the straps
I have a shaved head and am a side sleeper, so the dents in my scalp on the left side are very visible on my pale skin, a striking outline. Today I almost cancelled going to the in-laws for Xmas, and once I was there I kept turning to keep my left side away from everyone. It was kind of a nightmare,...

Re: BiPap vs Cpap/Apap
As you say, they're nothing more than just *not breathing for a bit*... I've held my breath for a minute, my spo2 barely wavers... of course, that may be different for other people, but it's going to take a lot more than not breathing for 10 or 30 seconds here and there to cause an issue. Centrals ...

Re: Look what just happened! CPAP FTW.
Wow! I’m envious: my AHI averages over 20, but my provider shrugs that off by pointing out that it was >120 in the sleep study.

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air
I use a FFM (Philips DreamStation) and I always sleep on my side. This is not a problem—in fact, it helps me keep the mask sealed: if I just lie on my back, it leaks like crazy, but on my side, I can kind of wedge my hand in a position that holds it against my face. What I’m wondering about is the r...

Re: Travel machines
I just went on a weeklong trip for the first time since I got my machine (a Philips DreamStation) and it was fine to use in the hotel. But what I would like to have is one I could use in the car, as I get sleepy while riding. Is there anything like that?
