I never even thought that nasal pillows would do the trick: but having less pressure on the outside of the nose would make a huge difference.
I appreciate all the tips! I’m on the tail end of this thing, and now will be looking into nasal pillow options to try.

Advice: Backup full-face mask for a cold?
Just experienced my first major cold with my CPAP! I use a nasal mask, but there were a couple of nights I wished I had a full-face mask to mouth breathe in compensation for really full sinuses. (Though I am sure I had clearer passageways in the morning because of the CPAP.) Does anyone here change ...

How did you acquire your backup machine?
I like the idea of a backup plan. Having just purchased my device, I don’t see insurance helping with a second one right away.
When and how did you acquire your backup machine?

Re: At a loss
If you haven't changed the humidity, has the temperature changed in your room?
For example, we're getting an unusual September cold snap, and I've had to adjust my humidity & temperature to get comfortable again.
Just a thought while you wait for a replacement.

Re: Recommendations wanted: mask-safe moisturizer
Thank you!! I knew there had to be something readily accessible. I’ll have to give lanolin a shot.
Awe man. I love my fellow ‘hosers’ eh?

Recommendations wanted: mask-safe moisturizer
Hi all! So I’m in the middle of a cold, which with all the nose blowing has given me the classic Rudolph-red and dry nose. Pre-CPAP I’d lather it up with a moisturizer I had on hand to try and combat the dry and uncomfortable skin overnight. Now however, everything I have seems to be petroleum or oi...

Re: Mask Liner Frustration!
So glad it’s not just me! So far I’ve tried RemZzzs. It sealed well, tickled around the sides and helped my leaks get to zero, and I didn’t have to wear bandaids. Downsides, they stretch and always slipped on me, defeating the positives. I can deal with that. But I got a cold during my trial. One ni...

Re: Humidification advice needed
Thank you for starting this thread! As a Newb it was enough information to move from "Auto" to comfortable. I find my best combo (so far) seems to be 25C/77F & humidity 5. I generally like a cooler temperature and a bit more humidity. I have found I'm waking up to what I can only describe as "rainou...
