I never even thought that nasal pillows would do the trick: but having less pressure on the outside of the nose would make a huge difference.

Just experienced my first major cold with my CPAP! I use a nasal mask, but there were a couple of nights I wished I had a full-face mask to mouth breathe in compensation for really full sinuses. I like the idea of a backup plan. Having just purchased my device, I don’t see insurance helping with a second one right away.

When and how did you acquire your backup machine?

If you haven't changed the humidity, has the temperature changed in your room?

For example, we're getting an unusual September cold snap, and I've had to adjust my humidity & temperature to get comfortable again.
