Re: AHI getting higher after exercising regularly?
And weight loss is often not fixed just with exercise (often even made worse because of stuffing yourself afterward!). You need to count calories as well, or at least watch what you eat more carefully... that's what does the trick, though exercise is of course important. I have reduced my intake of...

Re: AHI getting higher after exercising regularly?
http://freecpapadvice.com/sleepyhead-free-software Go to the above link and watch the videos and learn to figure out awake vs asleep flagged events. While it mainly is talking about central/clear airway apneas in the videos just remember it can be any category of event that might get flagged. I see...

Re: AHI getting higher after exercising regularly?
People are generally advised not to exercise prior to bedtime, but I'm not sure if what you said about your schedule qualifies unless your bedtime is very early. How do you feel (apart from what numbers say here)? If you're comfortable with things, then I wouldn't worry too much except to possibly ...

AHI getting higher after exercising regularly?
Hi all, I have been away from this forum for a long time but now I am back looking for advice as my AHI has been increasing. I started running regularly (every alternate day) since 5 June. I usually run in the morning around 10am or evening about 6pm. Prior to 5 June it seems like my AHI were genera...

Re: Higher AHI but feel better?
Did you ever find out the reason for better sleep and feeling better following an AHI 10.2? Deeper sleep?
If I were to try fixed bipap, what kind of pressure should I set? Why isn’t my machine increasing pressure much? Because I don’t need it?

Re: Higher AHI but feel better?
Spent another 2 nights with min epap 8 - AHI 1.89 and 1.4 respectively. Though AHI are low, I feel like crap for the past 3 days. Sleepy, tired eyes, headache.... I am seriously lost, dunno what’s wrong. I might just revert to min epap 6. Though AHI are higher @ 4 to 5, I feel better, more rested W...

Re: Higher AHI but feel better?
Are you a male and of the age where the prostate gland can impact the bathroom breaks during the night or day for that matter? See how you do as the day goes on. I wouldn't change anything now...give these settings a week to see how things go. I am male in early 30s. Might be too young for prostate...

Re: Higher AHI but feel better?
So....how did you sleep last night and how do you feel today. I always want to know how someone feels about their sleep quality and how they feel in general during the day. I see at least one break in therapy last night where you turned the machine off and back on again. Why? Were there more wake u...

Re: Higher AHI but feel better?
Should I change back to min epap 6? Though AHI is higher but I feel more rested throughout the day.. NO! Sleep varies from night to night. If anything, I'd say change it to 8. Less pressure is not going to resolve the issues your machine isn't handling. No, you think? But I feel more rested with ep...

Re: Higher AHI but feel better?
Last night I increased my EPAP to 7 (was 6) and when I woke up this morning, AHI was 1.8 - lowest so far!! No snore and very little CA! One interesting observation is that my EPAP stayed at 7 throughout the night. I have never seen a flat EPAP. Did I just hit the sweet spot? I will keep this settin...
