Travel machine

I sometimes go out of town and would like to purchase a travel machine. Any suggestions? I would even entertain the idea of buying a used machine like my ResMed Air Sense 10. Anyone have experience with buying a used one? I’m retired, on a fixed income, so I don’t want to break the bank.

Re: Loud hissing noise when sleeping

I sometimes hear a hissing sound from the top of my Dreamwear mask where it meets the air hose. It wakes me up. I adjust it a few times a night when it happens. I have considered pitting a piece of tape over the little hole where the mask and hose join but I don’t know if that would mess up my press...

Re: Custom headgear changes

I have had the same problem. My mask kept slipping over my hair, and sometimes off my head, with the Dreamwear. I need the small face mask and nasal pillow. I couldn’t sleep with a mask covering my nose and mouth. I am also an active roll-around sleeper. I finally got the idea to pull my hair up ove...

Re: Rubbing alcohol on mask?

I wasn’t advertising the So Clean. However things have been better—until now. Spring is here and sinus season is happening. I cannot use CPAP while sinus pressure and smells in my head are happening. I really hate using the CPAP, having a hose attached to my head keeps me from getting a good nights ...

Re: Rubbing alcohol on mask?

When I was issued my machine I was told not to use alcohol on the silicone because it breaks it down. After a fungal sinus infection from h*ll, I broke down and purchased a SoClean. I was meticulous in cleaning my mask but, living in the humid south, it wasn’t enough. No problems since getting SoCle...

Re: fix the Dreamwear

I have the same problem. I did get a smaller mask yesterday. I found pulling my hair up into a pony tail just under the hose connection but over the head strap helped some. The ponytail keeps the mask in place. It is not a cute sight! Just last night I used the smaller mask for the first time withou...

Re: Water Types

The reason for using distilled water is because of minerals. Tap water and bottled water both have minerals dissolved in them. That is why they all have different tastes and, some, different smells. Distilled water is demineralized by heating to steam and cooling condensing it. The minerals are left...

Re: What do you do with your hose?

My hose is attached to the top/ back of my head. I drape the hose through my headboard. I have an iron bed with two parallel bars across the top. I thread the hose through that. My problem is keeping the mask on my head, I need a smaller one. Sleeping with a ponytail helps to keep it in place. Not a...
