Re: Increase leaks with liners

I haven't looked at deeply into the data as I am uninstalled sleepyhead. I was just going by the :-(. I actually got a better night sleep with a 96 out of 100 score the night I wrote this. Last night not so good because the material was slipping off of my mask. I'm going to try to secure my liner a ...

Re: Increase leaks with liners

My leak numbers are higher but AHI is still less than one. My question is should I be concerned about the really high leak rate?

Increase leaks with liners

Hello! I am using a full face mask and recently have been getting red marks along the side of my nose that are getting worse. I'm using a mask liner now but since I've been using the mask liners, I have noticed that my ResMed machine gives me a red angry :-( leak rather than the happy green :-) that...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

LOL. He/she has already been put on the FOE list! Here is my data from last night. Beyond 4:30 AM, I was awake just tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep. I hope I included the right items. I agree that 4 AM I am hitting some REM sleep where I have most of my issues. Not sure what to do if...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

With time your body will learn to keep that back door shut and the air won't enter the mouth. I used to see pressures in excess of 20 cm and it didn't sneak into my mouth. In the meantime how about maybe we limit the higher pressure for a while and give your body a chance to learn how to do that re...

1. It's obvious that people are not reading what I'm writing so if that's the case would you please stop writing on my post and please stop contributing absolutely nothing except causing arguments. 2. If you're going to have an argument with someone please do it through their personal mail and stop ...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

UPDATE I'm somewhat tempted to make this a new thread but since so many people have commented on my issues I thought I should leave it here. It was recommended that I try to pay attention to what position I'm lying in and what's going on when the mouth bubbles are at their worst. Well I'm definitely...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

I have to say that I find this all so encouraging that other people have had similar problems, understand my situation and have adapted. I do great for about 4 or 5 hours then the "mouth bubbles" (as was beautifully described above) return. It seems like something that the body just gets used to. Yo...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

I am using a full face mask right now. I have a much higher leak rate cuz whenever I move it seems that it wants to leak. I find it uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. My numbers are getting worse as well with the full face mask. I slept much better when I used to nasal cushion except for that stu...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

I tried a chin strap and taping last night. All that happens is that my mouth blew up like a balloon and it was even more disturbing. Horrible night. Just to be clear, I am not a mouth breather, the air is not coming through my mouth to my lungs but rather coming from the CPAP and being redirected i...

Re: Mouth filling from inside with air

Thank you for the advice... I have switched to using the nasal cushion I guess is what you call it, the Triangular mask that fits around the nose, and it's not as bad as it was with the nasal pillows but it still exists. I try to do the tongue on the roof trick but it relaxes as soon as I fall aslee...

Mouth filling from inside with air

Hello all This is a similar post that had some odd comments so I am going to try again. I have been using my APAP for almost 2 weeks and wanted some feedback. Using the sleepyhead program, I know that all of my AHIs are less than 5 but I wouldn't say that I have huge increases in energy but some! I ...

Re: "labia flatulence" insomina... Any advice?

Medical Definition of Labia
Labia: Lips, the fleshy folds that surround the opening of the mouth (oral labia) or the vagina (the labia majora and labia minora).

Going forward can we please just focus on my post?
