Re: Anyone have an old crappy CPAP they'd like to sell?

The fans used to cool computers are more suited for feeding a wood stove than a CPAP machine. They are also quieter.

Re: Need Thin Mouth Tape

I have tried that. I like it, but I was referring to this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Equate-Paper ... om=/search
I think it is more comfortable.

Re: Need Thin Mouth Tape

Walmart sells a medical tape that is made of thin paper. I like it, but wish it was wider than one inch.

Re: Used cpap for mom

I would recommend a used Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. The 11 is new and used ones are harder to find. I have seen posts here that suggest the 10 is better than the 11. I bought mine through Facebook marketplace. If you are patient, you can find a very good deal. I paid $130 for a machine with 30 hour...

Re: Climate change increasing risk of sleep apnea (NPR)

I never voted for Trump and I never will. I will never vote for any of his lackeys. I believe that climate change is real and is a problem. But I stand by my statement that climate change can not explain everything bad. I don't think a two year study and lead to a conclusion about climate change cau...

There is a theory that if there is something you don't like, it's caused by climate change.

Re: Resmed S10 weird difference between machines

Are the settings the same? Check the software version. Is that the same? If your AHI is truly better, that's good. But if the newer machine is detecting events that the older machine misses, than that is better.

Re: Does it sound like I have sleep apnea? Apple Watch…

I assume you are sleeping with someone since you are taking birth control. Ask him if you snore. Ask if the snoring sometimes stops for several second and then you suddenly gasp for air. My father used to shake the whole house, then pause and then gasp loudly. My wife says I did this before CPAP, bu...

Re: AirSense 10 Makeshift Battery Pack

Your 5 volt Anker battery pack will not work.

You should look up FAA and airline restrictions on lithium batteries.

Many people use distilled water. But bottled (not distilled) water does not have an advantage over tap water. Mineral water is worse than tap water.

You said you did a continuity test of the fuse. Did you measure the heater resistance?

I believe that the silicone looses flexibility as the more volatile components evaporate. Heat would accelerate, not reverse this. But I am not a chemist.

Re: DIY Battery box question

The 12 volt to 24 volt converter can not be 100% efficient. It is probably 80 to 90% efficient. If you wire the batteries in series, you get 24 volts without any loss. On the other hand, the three batteries will have more energy than two.

Re: Getting CPAP Machine Data to SD Card

I used a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for 5 years without any SD card problems. I got a replacement Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset without a card. It apparently reformatted the card when I transferred it from the old to new machine. I should have gotten a new card. I still have the data on Oscar.
