Re: Sleep Apnea Screening for Truckers Stirs Debate

Did you know a truck driver that is diabetic must be able to control it WITHOUT insulin? If they take insulin, they cannot drive commercially. High blood pressure? Better keep it under the medical standards or you lose your CDL. How often do people who have no personal experience, but are are prepa...

Re: Pillows versus Cushion, thoughts?

I bought the Dreamwear nasal pillows after the F20 I was provided with hurt my nose bridge and the Dreamwear Full Face just wasn't what I was after. These really allowed me to breath well, but I did get nostril irritation. I didn't know about Lanolin creme then, and I am sure that would solve that a...

Re: Sleep Apnea Screening for Truckers Stirs Debate

Those sound like some crazy requirements, the kind that prevent people from preventative medical check ups and treatments for fear that they will be out of a job ! Legislators and rule makers really need to give consideration of un-intended consequences. On the other hand, due to the rules you just...

Re: Sleep Apnea Screening for Truckers Stirs Debate

Forcing sleep apnea testing on truck drivers might seem to solve a problem. But the facts are that truck drivers actually have a very, very good record of safety. They already work under a heavy burden of rules. Did you know a truck driver that is diabetic must be able to control it WITHOUT insulin?...

Re: Newbie with many masks........

Tried the Brevida last night with no diffuser. It is more noisy, it does blow air onto you. More air than the Dreamwear and others I have used. But not a problem for me. The diffuser pretty much makes it as silent as can be and you just cannot feel air movement with it installed. But I do think I wa...

Re: Newbie with many masks........

Like I mentioned above, If I had to use the Dreamwear nasal from now on I would be ok with that. Surprising how well it sealed! I tried wearing a motorcycle helmet liner under the headgear to keep it from permanently smashing my hair. Didn't really help. Been almost a week since using it and my hair...

Newbie with many masks........

Doctor recommended a sleep test, which while at home was certainly not a smooth thing. I got through it. Index was a 29. Out comes lady from the Healthcare place with Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset and a few masks. Looks at me and says "I can tell you are a mouth breather" ( didn't mention my knuckles a...
