Re: Are travel CPAP machines worth it?
Unless you are going to travel regularly in this manner, I wouldn't bother or incur the expense.

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
With a more aggressive cutting down of the adhesive strips and the P10 hose, I have to admit that this is a game changer. It's the closest I've had to feeling like not wearing a CPAP mask at all. With the face torque gone and some basic hose management, you can freely roll about and use a lot of tra...

Re: Why the hell would you use a humidifier on your CPAP
This. I use it when the windows are closed and the heat is on, and I stop using it when spring arrives.

Re: How Important is the Sleep Study? Self-treat user looking for opinions
Prescription History.JPG About a year and a half later, I've lost over 100lbs and have been able to lower my pressure a bit. Going through the self-treatment really was one of the first steps in turning my health/life around, and I recommend that any lurkers with OSA who are on the fence to take th...

Re: Just want to upgrade!
Just buy an autoset machine from a forum user here and then utilize the resourceful people here by providing properly formatted sleep data from the SD Card. I never had a sleep study or a prescription and have been successfully self-treating for over a year now. I still have a few autosets laying ar...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
I feel like this product would be vastly improved with a more flexible/less rigid hose. This issue is being addressed as we speak. Don't know the timeline though. In the meantime there is a work around that can be done if someone wants to take a longer more flexible short hose/tube off a different ...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
Got through my first night with it. A lot of impressive aspects and a few annoyances. The lack of leaking and headgear is incredible, the stiffness and sensitivity of the hose to any sort of weight or movement is annoying coming from the dreamwear. The adhesive is so good that it's like somebody is ...

Re: What's wrong with me?
Given that the OP is now confirmed to already be using alprazolam, my gut reaction is that this is actually the symptoms of physical dependence on the drug. Nasty stuff in my experience, hardest thing I ever had to deal with. He has untreated moderate sleep apnea and his explanation of symptoms fit...

Re: What's wrong with me?
Any possibility of it being anxiety? This sounds like me when I was untreated (effects probably moderated through cortisol), although it resolved pretty quickly once I got my AHI under control. If an anxiolytic relieves the symptoms, that would probably confirm it. Could be I guess. I take prescrib...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
I have never used them. I am the queen of cheap...I got a bottle of alcohol at WalMart for 88 cents. I wash my face and dry it....and then pour a little alcohol on the corner of a wash cloth and wipe it over my nose where the port adhesive needs to stick...let it dry and then apply the ports. My sk...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
I found just the DreamWay interface at 1800cpap.com. https://www.1800cpap.com/bleep-dreamport-sleep-solution-dreamway-interface-kit $62 and free shipping it looks like. That and the box of 32 ports at Amazon for 24.00 totals less because the starter package only has 16 ports. Better deal if bought ...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
I don't know of a source for the other part that you will need that doesn't require a RX. I can't find it as a separate part. Let me ask Stuart if he knows. If not....I can buy the complete starter package at cpap.com (with your money) and I will be happy to mail it to you. I have a RX on file at c...

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
I am really interested in trying this mask, but I am a self-diagnosed/self-pay user. The mask itself does not appear to be on Amazon, although the disposable component is for about $500-600/yr.
Does anyone have a source for this that doesn't require a prescription?
