Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
I have now 3 nights with APAP. Last night I had min as 12 and max 18. Would it useful to go Min 14 to see if those apnea events between 4.30am to 7 am go down? Or do I need to have Max more than 18? I don't feel rested when I wake in the morning. Also I wake few times between 4.30 -7 am because mask...

Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
Does your chin drop when you're on your back? Can you try to fit the mask (before you sleep) with an open mouth? A full face mask should keep its seal even when you're jaw drops - sometimes, it's a question of placement, not of tighness. And an FFM is not a replacement for a chin strap. I will test...

Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
Thanks ojiz for advice. I had first night with Auto mode with min 10 and max 18. Results were not as good as I was hoping. I replaced also mask and strappings, mask started to make in early hours blasting or buzzing sound. I tightened strap a bit but it still continued. I think it was mostly when I ...

Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
I received today F&P Sleepstyle Auto CPAP SPSAAA from the clinic. I asked for APAP machine so I guess this is one even name has CPAP on it. I just went Clinician menu and found it was set still CPAP mode at 10. I'm planning to change it to automatic mode, it suggests min pressure 4 and max 18. Are t...

Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
Hi again, Tested pressure at 9 from 22nd Jan so one and half week. I have not seen enhancement in AHI values, also same sleepiness. I need though keep better eye how I feel in the morning. I have added two graphs: - 1 pressure 9 , I would say this was normal value during pressure 9. Don't recall how...

Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
Is there any point to try install SleepyHead and see stats on that? OSCAR is the newer version of Sleepyhead. ("Sleepyhead" under a new name with other developers). You're running the newest version of OSCAR: 1.4 In graphs pressure was 12 as I wanted to see if lifting up helps. It did not do any ch...

Re: AHI creeping worse using CPAP few years
OSCAR compatibility is iffy at best with F & P machines. Even OSCAR will tell us that compatibility is far from perfect with F & P machines. I don't think F & P machines even separate central apneas from obstructive apneas so OSCAR can't do what the machine doesn't do. And as for leak...F & P machi...

Re: Bad eye irritation and CPAP
Thanks for replies. Went to eye doctor and seems it not related to CPAP usage. There is issue with my eyes called recurrent corneal erosion syndrome. Trying with ointments to deal with it first. The way according eye doctor CPAP could impact on eye is causing sloppy eyelids which is not happening in...

Bad eye irritation and CPAP
Hi, I have been on CPAP appr. 2 years now. My eye irritation is getting worse and worse. I suspect link between CPAP leakage and irritation. It is usually left eye which is very sore, red and leaking. Worse of irritation happens weekly now and minor more often. I use Patanol 0.1% Eye drops but eye i...
