Re: Question for VPAP/ASV users
Just saw the Doc, because of the 3 sleepyhead screenshots and the data from the machine, IM getting an ASV finally. They want a ultrasound of my heart done which I already had done 6 months ago, and then on to the sleep study to set the pressures. Thank you all so so very much!

Thank you so much I most certainly will, Pugsy. I forwarded a few screenshots to them ahead of my visit Saturday, maybe that will help things.

Re: Question for VPAP/ASV users
Ive been on a dreamstation auto-bipap since June 19, 2018 and 100% use, my numbers are still all over the place. Ive had a grand total of perhaps 7 days in the single digits AHI and my average peak goes into the mid teens AHI. Ive never had stable numbers ever. Is this the usual pattern prior to up...

Re: Question for VPAP/ASV users
My impression was that if anything, the bi-level device's added capability for pressure support could actually cause more central apneas to occur, rather than preventing them. Doesn't it take variable pressure support and sharp changes in the pressure level to deal with central apneas, not fixed pr...

Re: Question for VPAP/ASV users
Can someone explain the application of bi-level APAP devices for central apnea? Or is it only the devices with backup timers that are indicated for such use? My impression was that if anything, the bi-level device's added capability for pressure support could actually cause more central apneas to o...

Yes,and patience is NOT my better quality.. I probably drove the DME nuts through this process. When I wasn't getting any sleep, that desperate feeling is like none other. Good, you made them earn their money! Despite everything that's been said here, your compliance and "adherence" is in the...
