My first 3 months (or so)
So I've had my machine since the end of July. I've attached a screenshot of the overview of all the data from that time. I find it interesting that the sleep tech/doc wanted to put me on a CPAP at 15 constant pressure. (I guess in his defense, at least he put sometime into it actually looking at the...

Re: What do you do with your hose?
The hose buddy seems like a lot for $50. So I just bought a curtain holder. It was a two pack for about $12 at home depot.

While I wish you the best of luck, thats quite an assumption....Midwest_non_sleeper wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 4:32 pmI'm a veteran with an Honorable Discharge and am on XPAP. Not disabled and will never be.

Re: Camping trip after report
It looks like you were using humidity. Did you notice how much water was left in the morning? It was a little tough to tell after the first night as I refilled it balancing on the air mattress. It felt like a normal night, about 2/3rds was gone. This morning, I think I only poured out a small amoun...

Camping trip after report
So I just got back from two nights of tent camping with the fam. For my setup, I bought a 100 AH battery to power my whole setup. As hopped, no issues on battery running out on two nights. Here are my graphs from the nights. Other than a few wake ups to regrab blankets, etc that fell off (because I ...

Which CPAP users fly the most?
I'll be taking my first trip with my machine. I'm looking forward to it as I hope to not be in a complete haze on the trip like I have been the last year or so on work trips. Combine the flights with time zone changes, hotel rooms and earlier than normal "wake ups" and normally resulted a complete f...

... I also wanted to see how "slow" the process was, esp. when they are using words like "severe" to describe my condition and telling me my oxygen desaturation levels were under 50% at times during my sleep. And saying I shouldn't drive etc. Hardly seems severe if the process takes this long... :r...

Re: My DME Experience
Same boat here. You will probably see lower amounts on your explanation of benefits. My mask & headgear is around $75 (over $100 online) , they do charge additionally for the headgear and the hose. I had to buy the humidifier chamber up front with the hose. The cost for the machine is a 12 month re...

Re: My DME Experience
One factor to consider if you are calculating out of pocket costs using insurance for a capped rental is deductibles. You may or may not have met your deductible for this year, but it's already August, and come January (in most cases) the deductible will re-set. So you may pay a lot more than you c...

Re: Got a titration - somehow took my mask off again
Are you sure 7 is the best pressure for you? Looks like you had a lot of OAs in a row at 7 right before you ripped it off. Could it be that you woke up from that and took it off?

...been using my APAP for 10 days now and the highest I've gotten to is 14.4, my average is 11.03 and 90% is low/mid 12s. I've bumped up the starting ramp pressure from 4 to 6 and now again to 7. Does your machine report a median? If so, IMHO, your starting should be below but near that number so i...

Re: My DME Experience
If you already own the exact machine, why are you bothering with them at all? Because I can still use them for supplies, get a second mask. Use their mask exchange policy etc. Also, if that machine was "super" cheap to me I would have returned my first machine, which has a 30 day return policy. I d...
