Re: AHI's-Fight for Yourself

So, I followed additional advice from you that the AHI's could be from chin tucking. I started using a soft cervical collar without the back vest. The numbers are the same-good, but the number of hours of sleep has increased significantly due to the fact that my hurting hip is not waking me. I am no...

AHI's-Fight for Yourself

I met with my nurse practitioner yesterday. In August, I was averaging 7.2 AHI's. I sought help again from you on this site. I had been struggling for 3 years bouncing between averages of 7.2 and 5, but having nights of 163.7. I tried many things. I posted August charts here, and you helped me find ...

Re: Variable Breathing

Solution Found: (I think.) Ya’ll did it! I ordered a vest that doesn’t let you sleep on your back. It arrived 5 days ago. I have used it for 4 nights. My average of 7.2 for 30 days with clusters of events through the night is now 2.0 for 4 nights with a high of 2.3, a low of 1.7, and no clusters. Ap...

Re: Why did dropping my EPR affect my brain fog, lack of energy, etc.?

My breathing got out of synch with EPR. My episodes decreased quite a bit, when I turned EPR off. I think Pugsy helped me with this last year.

Re: Variable Breathing

I will dig out my soft collar and try it. I just might be tucking. I also wondered about my AFIB. But, I can see with the collar.

Re: Variable Breathing

I have no idea. I go to sleep on my side and wake on my side. I try not to sleep on my back. Only once in a blue moon do I wake on my back, and that is usually because it hurts.

Re: Variable Breathing

This is a picture of a really high night and an average night. I am using an Airtouch F20 with the recalled DreamStation 1. My upper pressure is set at 15. I usually only reach this pressure briefly as in the average night picture. And, I usually wake and press the ramp button to bring it back to my...

Variable Breathing

So, my AHI’s have returned to an average of 9.32. While investigating, I found the data channel of Variable breathing. On my worst AHI night 16.07, the variable breathing was 54.53% and periodic breathing was 11.2%. I am beginning to suspect that these worse episodes coincide with my AFIB. I see my ...

Re: Suggestions for reducing AHI’s

Wow, it didn’t take the 2 different files. They aren’t very different, though. Thank you for the feedback, Pugsy! I will try upping and see what it does. Then, I can talk to the pulmonologist’s again.

Suggestions for reducing AHI’s

I started CPAP in 2018. I averaged about 3.5 AHI’s for the first year on the machine and started at 80. I was morbidly obese. My repetitive breathing was increasing. So, I turned off the EPR which helped. My AHI was still creeping up, so I contacted my CPR. She increased my pressures from 7-15 to 10...

Re: Should I get an oxygen monitor

Thanks! I supplement potassium, but no where near this amount. I will rearch. And, although my phone and tablet are iOS, my computer is Windows, so I can use OSCAR. I told my allergist about OSCAR this week. He is a hose head and was very interested in it. He said that if he gets a 90%, he wanted to...

Re: Should I get an oxygen monitor

Thank you! I didn’t state that well. By pressure changes, I meant the reduce by 3 from the inhale to the exhale. I will go awhile and then feedback.
